Very well made and comfortable
I saw this brace on UTube it was recommended by a Neurologist she said if you were looking for a well made light weight brace then this might be the brace and the Hip squarer for you so I looked it up on Amazon took my measurements ordered it and this is the Best brace I have ever wore. I have 2 other braces that were made for me by the Doctor but they are big and heavy. Thank you for listening to the patience and understanding what they needed to Walk and get back there independence. This was a Great investment for me from on Amazon

cheaper version of the step smart i orginally had
this is a cheaper version of the step smart version i originally had, the back is different. on this one the back has a strap that is attached by velcro and can come on or off by pulling it off, on my old version it was a strap bolted in and much more secure.also i noticed when taking my shoe off, this brace hurt the bottom of my foot while taking it off, it never hurt when i first got my original one.also the strap that goes aroung your leg, the end of it doesnt stick because the velcro part is very short. im going to have to buy some velcro strips to put on the rest of the strap.looks like the company that made this has cutback on costs making it.but didn't cut back on the price for it.it's a much cheaper version, and you can tell that right away.

Not a good fit for me.
Hard to put on. My normal AFO is much easier to put on. Good quality just not a good fit for me.

Straps need to be wider
The brace performs exactly as described. It has relieved almost all of my "drop foot" issues. The only thing that could be improved are the straps. They need to be wider. After a few hours of wearing the brace the straps begin to press into my leg.

I wanted to love it
I have a very narrow foot - and my heel just slid around in the heel cup. I wanted to love this brace, but I felt unstable in it.

It allows dorsiflexion
The Smart Brace does its job. If you wear a size 5-6.5 be aware that you are an X-small and you have to order from the company (Insightful Products)
