Anatomy & Physiology Workbook For Dummies

This workbook has been a huge help. I am taking anatomy and physiology this semester and going through this during the summer really gave me a head start. The explanations are easy to understand and the practice problems actually help me remember the material. I also like that it comes with online practice. It is great to have extra resources when I am studying on my own. Definitely made starting this class way less stressful.

I am in love with this book. There's certain concepts in it that I was having trouble understanding but it literally felt like a dumbing down version of explaining this and it helps so much! I was skeptical at first when I heard others say they buy books to help them with A&P but I decided to give it a try and honestly I understand why now. There's a reason why people keep talking about it!

Those who read my reviews know I'm helping my niece study for the Certified Health Documentation Specialist exam. Anatomy and physiology play a large part of that exam. While the book has helped her a lot, this workbook has helped her even more. Besides covering all the "systems" of the body, e.g., the digestive system, the lymphatic system, the skeletal system, etc., this book has quizzes so the student can keep better track of his or her knowledge. The questions seem to cover just about everything that will be covered in the anatomy and physiology section of the CHDS exam. I can recommend this book highly to all those who are studying anatomy and physiology in high school or college or those who simply want to know more about the subject. Although the book is fairly comprehensive, it's written so the everyday person can understand it, and it's laid out in easily digested chapters. Things are explained fully, but not so fully that a med student could profit from this book. All-in-all, a great workbook for high school, college, or the casual learner.
