Wood - Great rings!
First off, when I pulled them out of the box, I was super impressed. They were well milled and I didn't notice any defects. However, the wood was unfinished but none the less was sanded very well and were very smooth. But, improvements could be made. Understand that there is no direction to sand/finish these as using them with your hands (indoors) would most likely be fine but I wanted to make them look/feel just a bit better.I went to Lowe's and picked up a ten dollar bottle of Butcher Block Conditioner (food grade mineral oil & natural waxes) by Howard and some 800 grit sand paper for a few bucks. What I did next is not rocket science nor am I wood working professional as you can get your youtube PhD in this pretty quick. I did a once over sand to get them much smoother and work out the tiny tiny burrs (nothing to be concerned about). Then I applied a generous coat of the Howard oil and let them dry for about 20 minutes. After [mostly] dry, I applied some oil to sandpaper and did a generous wet sanding, wiped them off, a bit more oil, then another 20 minutes to dry. Then I took a new sheet of sandpaper and took some time to do a generous dry sanding on each while watching the first scene of the movie Heat. Then another coat of oil and let them dry overnight. Note: the oil was not skin irritating and I didn't use gloves. Regular Dawn dish soap was enough to get it off my hands. In the morning, they were very smooth and have a great amount of grip from the oil and look very sharp. They're not sticky nor do I expect them to slip in bare hands. If your attention span allows it, the sanding/oil process can be repeated many many time. Woodworking ppl would probably suggest starting off with lower grit sandpaper then incrementing up to something like 1500 grit but you know what, the 800 was perfectly fine. I'm not going to be using them to re-enter the earth's atmosphere....I hope this review/input helps. If you're looking for wood rings, get these, spend an hour or so investing in them, and I'm confident you'll be pleased. Let me know if there are any questions!

Great Rings & Perfect Straps
Like many here, I did a TON of research on the following:1. Ring construction (wood, plastic, metal, PVC, diameter of ring and handle diameter)2. Strap type (width, length, distance markers)3. Buckle type (plastic, metal, ease of use, adjustment speed)4. Ease of use and overall impression1. RING CONSTRUCTION:The rings look great, they are smooth wood with no rough areas. They are 1.25" and on day one, they seem perfect. I will see how they hold up over the next few months. My kids (4 & 6) had no trouble gripping these rings either.2. STRAP TYPE:The straps feel great, they are thick and seem VERY durable. They also have all 15 feet marked tic marks every 3 inches. I would 100% pay more for a strap that has the height marked on the strap - it is a huge help in getting the rings even.3. BUCKLE TYPE:These buckles are PERFECT. Made of metal, AND they are VERY EASY TO ADJUST. The metal clasp has plenty of teeth to hold the strap in place.4. EASE OF USE & OVERALL IMPRESSION:If there is one negative, it is that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS IN THE BOX, which is common for rings, however it is a huge omission in my opinion. String the rings up wrong is a massive risk for injury and it is easy to do it wrong. It is also VERY OBVIOUS IF YOU DO IT WRONG as the strap easily slides when done incorrectly. Other than that, the setup is easy to use, and easy to adjust - the buckle & strap measurement makes the adjustment a matter of seconds. I hung both straps and was testing them out in less than 5 minutes.

Video review: These were the only pink webbing rings I could find and we love these
The media could not be loaded. We got the 1.25 inch, pink webbing rings. Perfect for our little girls. My wife loves to do pushups with these too.Easily adjustable.I dig the unique pink look. Very set-apart.And here's a link to that "StudPop" thing to find the studs, if you're hanging this in a drywall ceiling. It's awesome: Studpop Magnetic Stud Finder

Absolutely recommend push ups
I ordered these rings as an addition for my home gym so I could add in some dips and rows but there are so many exercises I plan on using them for after trying them.Absolutely recommend push ups, dips and rows on these, phenomenal exercises. The straps are very well made and so are the rings themselves.I got the 1.25" rings to help develop hand strength but I have been told that the 1.1" rings are better if you plan on using exercises or movements with the false gripI may eventually order a set of those things as well.

Best exercise equipment purchase I've ever made
I very rarely leave reviews on the things I purchase online- But I have to say after several months of using these rings and straps, they are hands down the best investment in exercise equipment I have ever made. The straps are extremely strong and durable- I've used them for exercises off of trees, bars, basketball poles, and ceiling beams, I've even strapped a mattress to the top of my car for driving down the highway. The straps also include built in small velcro straps to help roll the straps up and keep them compact and neat for travel or transport. The locking mechanism on the strap is made out of metal and cinches down tightly when threaded in properly, with no chance of slippage or failure. The rings are made out of light but durable plywood that has been sanded and sealed and are very nice to handle. The wood has enough purchase and grain so as to provide a non slip hold, but are not too abrasive or rough on hands. I was concerned about needing chalk or receiving blisters and am pleased to say that the rings are great on my hands and have slowly allowed my calluses to build up without any blisters or injuries. If you are looking for the perfect equipment for a full exercise regimen you can do anywhere: look no further, these are the rings you need to get.
