This product is handy and fun. As you all know, it's for proofing dough to get it ready to bake baguettes. And, this one works great. The seller even includes a dough scraper which always comes in handy. We have a large butcher block as part of our kitchen countertop and we use it to make dough for bread and pizza. There is nothing like either fresh from the oven. I recommend this product.

I am new to baking. Having said that, I do not know what the BEST couche available is, nor am I willing to pay for it. The one I selected is a good, quality linen, good weight and I think it will serve quite nicely in my modest kitchen. I am extremely happy with this purchase and recommend it to first time bread makers.

I am happy to find that this material is heavy and durable. Exactly what you would expect for bread baking. I like that it comes with a storage bag since you don't wash this.

I have only used the couche once (so far), to make three baguettes at one time, as opposed to my usual one loaf of french bread about the size of a rhino shank. I have always struggled with the loaf falling / being much wider than tall, which is the reason I bought the couche in the first place. Turns out (at least after one use) that one loaf french bread = three beautiful, symmetrical baguettes that would rival a real baker's production.Now if I can only find a good paddle to transfer the risen loaves to the perforated baguette pans, which, by the way are also a great product. . . . . .

I finally decided to make homemade baguettes and purchased these tool to help me. They are a good value for the money and I would recommend them for other serious bakers.

Loved it so much I bought another one and had it sent directly to my mother-in'law. She loves it, too. I'll double my bread recipe and make four baguette loaves. It holds the dough loaves for the second rise, then goes directly into the oven. Cooks evenly and wipes clean like a dream. What a great product! I love it.
