Items was as described. A 1.8m black cable with DisplayPort at one end, and DVI at the other. I use this to connect a Mac mini to a monitor. The monitor (Asus VH242H) has VGS, DVI and HDMI. The Mac mini has Thunderbolt and HDMI. Thunderbolt is the same as DisplayPort. I would have used the HDMI, however, when the Mac goes into sleep mode, instead of the monitor screen just going black, it turns bright blue. Not helpful late at night. So I bought this cable to connect the DVI to the Thunderbolt port. Works great and no issues.
