This yarn is soft and easy to use. I love love love the ombré. This is the third color in this ombré that I’ve used and it works really nicely.

My wife has used dozens of skeins of Caron's Super Soft yarn over the years, but this is our first time getting their cheaper jumbo offering; and while the silky softness isn't there, this is great for other projects, and comes with more yarn per dollar while being slightly better quality than something like red heart.I've found the same Caron Jumbo at a dollar or so cheaper from some big box stores, however they don't carry them in the brick and mortar locations, so you risk paying for shipping, or at least gas going to pick them up. The color changes in the ombre are about middle length, but variegation is super consistent, making patterns super easy whether crocheting squares or knitting a scarf.It's thick enough weight to insulate with a tighter stitch, same as most #4s, so the higher price is mostly for the color quality and brand... A small premium for the convenience compared to other retailers with this 2 pack is the main difference, and it may be the best option depending on how rural you are!

Beautiful yarn

Absolutely LOVE this Caron Jumbo Yarn Duo...it is as described. There are two skeins of the #4 worsted acrylic yarn, which seems accurate, but it feels so soft as though there was cotton blended in! The color is said to be "salmon" Ombre, but it looks more "peach" Ombre to me. I do love peach and it's part of my nickname. So I decided to go with this one to start up crocheting again.I had a lot of nerve damage after two car accidents and had been using the "putty" from therapy to help with exercising the joints and ligaments in my fingers/hands. Doing needlework and/or other skills with my hands was said to also be a helpful endeavor. These will work just fine for that and I have to get some more crochet hooks when I get the money. The idea I had was an afghan for a baby, which having the two jumbo skeins would allow for, but I need a different size crochet hook than the one I have.In examining the yarn, it is as I said, really soft, but when pulling it, there was no "new" yarn tangling from the center of the skein. "Ball size" was given, but I never found that to be helpful; with these jumbo skeins, it would take a long time to get them done. The yarn is said to be machine washable, which is usually the case with acrylics, but I would suggest a gentle cycle "baby" wash and air fluff drying cycle. I have not had the best results trying to hand wash and hang dry...especially with a fuller jumbo yarn project. Oh, and projects are said to be available with patterns online, but I did not see any on their website.Overall, there was nothing negative to disclose about the Caron Jumbo yarn set. I am giving it a full five star rating and will update when I get to use it in a project. Thanks!

Ordered this for my tween daughter who recently taught her self crochet with the help of videos online. She of course prefers the super plush or sparkly or whatever different variants, but I asked her for opinions of this yarn based on what it is. She said she likes it slightly better than the same basic yarn from Red Heart. She reported that it's a little softer maybe, and very easy to work with. She enjoyed the color gradient and thought it was gradual enough to have nice effects with the pattern.
