ELONN Compatible USB AUX Audio Interface Y Cable for and Mini

Purchased to replace a similar cable (with a coiled cord) which stopped working. I much prefer the strait wire. This cable does not fully interface with the Cooper sound system. It charges the phone and sends clear sound to the AUX input. Volume can be adjusted via radio knob, steering wheel or the phone buttons, but that is it. My older (somewhat obsolete paddle connector) iPod interface cable had more functions such as skip/repeat and music info. I still have that cable in the glove box if I decide to use an iPod for road trip music. I use this cable for Waze and Pandora on my iPhoneSE. This cable doesn't cost much and it works as stated in the product description.

I needed a cheap way to get streamed podcasts/Spotify/google maps to play on a new iPhone 8 plus through the excellent sound system on my 2014 BMW 328i, four door car which has no iDrive NAV system (was standard the following year - but somehow my car doesn't have it.) I tried every lightning cable I had from Apple and others - nothing worked. The new phones have no headphone jack, so a basic 2-ended 1/8" jack will NOT work. - that only works with iphone 6 and older. NEITHER did straight USB - the iDrive (non NAV) system doesn't recognize USB only - the choice was greyed out on iDrive screen. You need this Y-cable, with both the USB and AUX jack plugged in, then it finally worked like a charm. I kept thinking the USB port was dead - but it isn't. My iPhone 8 plus now charges and plays audio at same time. I'm also getting a Proclip BMW 3-series center dash mount with an adjustable iPhone holder, all for $70. With this Y-cable and the Proclip dash mount (which pivots vertical or horizontal), which is very tailored for BMW 3-series 2012-2019 cars only, my entire audio problem is solved. No $2,000 system upgrade needed from Car Toys - those people totally rip you off blind. Only downside is no meta data flows through to iDrive screen - but so what. You've got everything you need right on your iphone, which has a great-looking screen nearly as big as the iDrive screen . Great solution, very happy to find it after after 2 weeks of searching.

I bought this expecting it to be decent, since it’s 20$.. Negative you can’t even use the usb option on the bmw, if that’s why you purchased it, it doesn’t work. I bought it a week ago and now it sounds trash. The cable is messing up already going in and out and audio quality is nothing to die for. Do not recommend.

Did not work in my girlfriend's Mini. Complete waste of money...

Got it today and immediately went to go try it in my 2010 e92 with an iPhone X...did not work. Followed the directions plugged it in the usb and aux. Started the car turned the switch to aux and plugged in. Did not get any sound

This cable frays easily and not the entire unit doesnt transmit signal. Poor quality

When plugged in the audio started playing through the speakers, but kept on pausing my music for no reason. I drive a 2007 335i and this cord was not compatible.

Stop working after two months. What a waste of money
