SEM M25193 Light Grey Marine Vinyl Coat - 12 oz.

This was ez to use and covered spots on my boat seats so they look new. I haven’t had the boat in water yet, but the seats look great after two weeks of sitting in my yard.

This color should probably be called off-white rather than gray. It honestly looks white, not gray!

I used this product on boat cushions that had been damaged by chemical pinking. I was skeptical that the paint could cover the stains and not affect the pliability of the vinyl. However, the paint performed as advertised. I had reupholstered the cushions three years ago and so did not want to spend the money again. Some of the pinking had caused parts of the cushions to develop a sandpaper finish. (By this point, I had tried 5 different mildew removers until the VP of Gestalt Industries identified the problem - pinking not mildew.) The paint does not "fill in the gaps" to fix this problem but at least it covers it up. SEM recommends using multiple coats and that is an understatement. Some of the most damaged cushions required 5-6 coats but the flexibility of the vinyl remained and the paint adhered totally. This product does not match new vinyl, but it is at least 10 to 15 times cheaper and minimizes boat downtime. New vinyl was not an option given how recently I had "upgraded" the cushions. The first picture above shows pinking on some of the cushions and the second picture shows the painted result- not perfect but much better.

The first order that was shipped was the wrong color. Due to flammable content, it could not be returned, but Amazon customer service was great and credited me with a full refund. Second order was shipped in correct color.Correct application required quite a bit of preparation and 3 steps of application with 3 products. Final result was a good coating.

I had used this on my 2 of my boat seats, 3 years and still look brand new. I am now doing the other seats.

I used this SEM spray paint to hide scratches on my Kdean vinyl marble inspired floor. Spray paint was applied onto a paper plate, and q tips were used to smear the paint in a marble pattern as needed. A quick fix was possible!
