We have several large windows on our home—some reaching nearly two stories high—and getting them truly clean has always been a challenge. Usually it meant dragging out a long extension pole with a squeegee or climbing a ladder, neither of which is quick or fun. Since I’m already a big fan of robotic cleaners (we have multiple robot vacuums, a robot mop, and even a robotic pool cleaner), this window cleaning bot immediately caught my attention. I’m glad I gave it a try, because it genuinely works. It cleans remarkably well, sometimes needing a couple of passes on really dirty glass, but it leaves the windows almost perfectly streak-free. The suction power is also no joke. I was concerned it might fall and I'd be out a significant investment... or even worse, it could fall on someone and cause a serious injury... I tested it by tugging the tether to simulate it snagging, and this thing held on like it was glued to the glass. Using it is simple: place it anywhere on the window, power it on, and let it do its thing. When it finishes, turn off the suction and you’re done. The only maintenance it really needs is flipping or swapping the cleaning pads when they get dirty, which is fast and easy. The only time it needed intervention was on our French doors, where the handle slightly overhangs the glass and the bot got itself wedged underneath. Not a big issue, but worth noting. The base unit, which the cleaner is usually stored inside, doubles as a battery pack allowing you to unplug the device and use the cleaner "cordless"! This was especially useful when I decided to take it on the roof to clean our solar panels of our desert property. Not sure what the runtime of the battery is, but i was able to clean 20 of our 77" x 40" panels with juice to spare! Overall, this little machine has saved us a ton of time and effort. For anyone with large or hard-to-reach windows, it’s absolutely worth it! Hey, it even cleans Solar Panels!

The Winbot W2 Pro Omni is worth it particularly if you have lots of windows or mirrors. It was super easy to set up and just as easy to use right out of the box. It works great for basic window and mirror maintenance cleaning and does exactly what it advertised to do. While it doesn’t remove heavy soap scum from shower glass (I had to try), it does clean normal everyday water marks really well. If you have a lot of windows, or if window cleaning is one of those forgotten or dreaded chores then this is a good investment for you. It saves time, effort, and honestly makes window cleaning feel way less overwhelming. Definitely beats hands on cleaning or hiring cleaners.

Edit, 1 month later: The first few windows I did came out ok, but all the rest are streaky, and nothing I can do will get this bot to work right. I replaced the cleaning pad, and it didn't help. It's like the bot can't seem to drive in a straight line or something. I tried contacting the company, and they were completely unhelpful, I asked for a replacement robot (since it's clearly defective) and they just keep giving me the runaround "send this photo", "try this", and eventually I was fed up, and since it's still within the return window I returned this piece of junk. Old review: We totally live in the future! I can't believe I own a window cleaning robot. This thing is amazing!! You stick it on the window and it cleans it for you, I just can't get over that. The windows came out really nice, and it cleaned parts of the windows I've never been able to get to. But really, I bought this thing for my shower - my shower walls are very tall, and I can't reach them without a stool, and it's just difficult to clean. Instead I just stick this thing anywhere on the shower and it does it for me!! The parts I don't like: You have to buy the cleaning solution from them. I'm going to see what options I have for making my own. And you only get two cleaning pads, yes they are washable, but they are main thing that does the cleaning, and I'm sure I'll have to replace them.

I couldn’t believe what a great job this little, quiet machine can do!!! I Iike that I can run it on battery or plugged in. I’ve used it on at least 40 window cleanings and it’s still going strong! We live on the ocean so the windows get really salty. If the windows are especially dirty I did need to run it 2 or 3 times on the window to get a perfect result BUT who cares? I didn’t need to do any work or climb a ladder. Occasionally it leaves a vertical streak line but that wipes right off with a microfiber cloth. I have shown it to lots of my neighbors in our condo building and I have “sold” at least 8 more…you’re welcome Ecovac!!!

It works on lightly dirty windows. Leaves streaks on dusty windows. Does not work on frameless windows. It is ok, not sure it saves much time.

This is my second Winbot and I love this one even more. It really sticks to the glass, and cleans very thoroughly. The voice promting (and/or app) let's you know when it's done; even if you're in another room (I multitask). At first I thought this tethered model (as opposed to my first Winbot which carried the battery on-board) would be clumsy to use, but quite the opposite. I find its extended battery life (in the base) exceptional and convenient - especially for cleaning the outside of windows, where there might not be an outlet. Plus, if there is an outlet handy you can recharge while in-use and just keep on cleaning! When you're finished, it all stows away into the base. Easy to carry and store, instead of multiple parts. This thing isn't cheap, but after cleaning every window in my house it's totally worth it. Just remember to rinse out the attached cloth and have a few spares for uninterrupted cleaning. Also, I find it works best to pre-wet the cloth and then begin the cycle. It will then continue to keep the cloth damp with it's built-in sprayer.
