Smart Luggage Tag ST03,Locator Tag with Phone Finder for Luggages,Suitcases and Bags,Bluetooth Tracker with App Control

My wife and I are both Senior citizens and while we both have Smart Phones most of our data use is off our home Wifi from our cable company. We have a basic data plan and seldom use all that is available.We noticed two things after setting up the luggage tag. When we left the house the application was using our limited data, and it was also draining the battery. Now as seniors we are not on top of all this technology and so our assumptions may be wrong. But upon investigation it seems you can not turn off the tag (or app) when not needed. Near as I can figure is that the company uses every ones phones to help track down any "lost" luggage by sending messages to the CLOUD.I agree that is a nice feature if you have unlimited data (which we don't). So I guess my main complaint is the inability to turn off the luggage tag when not required (after all) the normal condition for our luggage is in our closet and we don't need to keep looking for it.I gave it 3 stars because it works and was simple to set up - it just is not right for us for the reasons stated.

A few years back our luggage got left along with about 30 other people on the runway while a repair was being made in the luggage area of the plane. We were on our way to Copenhagen to leave on a cruise. We arrived there and our luggage met us two days latter. Fortunately, it got there before we left for the cruise. This last trip, we had to change planes, so I wanted to make sure our luggage was nearby. It worked great. We tracked the luggage on our phone and was able to see where our luggage was.

The range is terrible. By the time you locate your luggage, it's in front of you and you can see it. Also, no one else in the world has this so it's not like Tile where as long as it is near someone else with Tile you can locate it. In addition the strap on this is not good at all. Mine came off my luggage and got lost on my very first round trip so it did not even make it through one trip.

We purchased four of these products for our trip. The instructions were to hard to follow and customer service is nonexistence. They do not provide a number you can call for help. The device keep discovering and would not connect. Within 10 minutes after not finding my tags my phone has lost 10% of its charge. Then we had to figure out how to uninstall the device. Never could use these devices.

The Smart Luggage tag is a great alternative to traditional luggage tags, helps me identify my luggage. I've only tested them a few times, and it does what it says! I got one for myself and another for my spouse. They were easy to set up. I highly recommend them for frequent travelers.
