Lightweight, bright, and durable light.
May 2015 update: I found a mount accessory online from Moon that works a treat for an OEM quality setup. Image attached.Feb 2015 Update: I now have these lights on all bikes in our family. My road bike recently went on a diet to drop some weight and I had to decide between these or the Serfas UTL-6 "Thunderbolt". These are 5grams lighter including the mounting bracket. These lights are also on my winter bike which gets used in temperatures down to -30c (-22f), the lights performed as well as they do when it's warm, dry, wet. I will be selling my Serfas lightset.Original review:The lights are as advertised, bright, multi-mode, leds. I have a Serfas thunderbolt as well and compared the two today. Pictures are included in this review but it was difficult for the smartphone to capture the lights properly so the images are blurred. Mea culpa, a better camera was available however it was raining.Powering either unit on or off was easy without gloves but the Pedallons raised power button made it marginally simpler with winter gloves on. The Thunderbolt has a more vivid intensity to it where the Pedallon USB is close in hue but a little less vibrant. The overdrive mode on the Pedallon matched the bright mode on the Thunderbolt and the same for the bright flash, both were close to being equal intensity with the Thunderbolt winning slightly due to hue, this could be a personal preference.I purchased these Pedallons for my winter bike where the Thunderbolts are for my road bike so I'm more than satisfied considering the price and how closely they match the Thunderbolt in performance. This Pedallon light excels in one area, ease of vertical or horizontal mounting. The Thunderbolt offers a direct low profile setup which works great on seatposts and chainstays only but the light is most effective in horizontal orientation so the Pedallon wins here.I would recommend this to my friends. In the images below, the lower light is the Serfas UTL-6 Thunderbolt and the upper light is this Pedallon light.

Would be nice to have replacement parts
I run the front and rear Pedallon lights day and night as a "be seen" light. The very distinctive light bar is very eye-catching in blinking as well as steady modes, and it is a very solidly constructed light. In my experiences with using the front light, I find that drivers merging into my lane tend to wait and let me pass first. At night, I supplement it with a brighter flashing rear light, brighter front light, and headlamp. I use both Pedallon lights in steady mode, switching the rear light to blinking during the day.You can find the same Raypal light on that popular auction site for considerably less if you have the patience for overseas shipping and the possibility of having to deal with a troublesome return or refund. I exchanged emails with the Amazon seller (Neil Watkins/Pedallon) and he was quite pleasant and responsive. I had to return a defective light and Amazon came through as usual and even offered to cross-ship a replacement. However, at the regular price point that this light is selling for on Amazon, I would like to see replacement mounts available for sale from Pedallon in the US. I remove the light after every ride to recharge, and every time I put it back on the bike, I wonder how many more stretches will cause the rubber or plastic to snap. It would be nice if say $5 gets you a new strap shipped to your door. Or a new battery pack. Or rigid seatstay, seatpost, and handlebar mounts. I ended up buying a pair of the less expensive lights as spares and for spare parts, but it would be nice to keep as much out of the landfills as possible.Other notes:The rear red light has 16 LEDs on a strip, not 30 as it states in the description and the included instruction sheet. The clear lens over the LED bar is heavily scratched/scuffed. I bought 4 lights and all were in the same condition. It does not seem to noticeably affect the light output. When switched off, the rear light has a clear lens and white background. The front light has a clear lens and yellow background. The rigid seatstay mount is available for purchase elsewhere, but somewhat hard to find (usually non-US sellers). The unit is water-resistant at best. You can see light leaking from the gaps between the shell halves. I would like to see a potted unit or conformal-coated circuit board. The mount has an interesting tool-less spring-loaded pivot adjustment under the rubber cover. It has detents. Very unexpected but seems to work well for a unit this light. The tail light is difficult if not impossible to change modes and brightness while riding. Not a problem with the handlebar-mounted front light. I always end up cycling through the brightness levels at least once to figure out the level that I want to set it at.UPDATE 6/18/2015: I have been riding rough trails lately and the mount is having trouble holding the light in position. I ride a few miles on the road to get to and from the trails, but every time I transition from trail to road, the light has flopped down and is pointing at my rear wheel. I prefer a non-spring-loaded mount that stays in position. I might fill the spring cavity with epoxy so that it requires a screwdriver to adjust.

Probably the best rear LED bike light out there
I got this rear red LED bike light for my Dahon Mu P8. I decided to mount it right below the seat clamp. Since it's not mounted high up on the seat post I angled the light slightly upward. That's one of the nice features of this little light. When mounted horizontally it clicks up/down at different angles. So to summarize....Small and lightweightIt's black and looks futuristic not tackyBright if you want it to beWater resistantEasy one button operationUses modern high performance COB LEDsHorizontal or vertical mountCan be angled up/down left/right with clicksQuick release clip to prevent theft of the unitBuilt-in LiPo USB rechargeable batteryGood run time at standard brightness settingSeveral brightness and flashing/strobe modesDurable case material that could handle dropsThe only thing that I thought needed improvement was the side lighting, it's very dim and can't be seen very well when using the standard low brightness setting. I think if it had larger side light diffusers instead of the two small oval ones it would be much more useful.

Brill............but!
Not given 5 stars, fixing with rubber strap had to be adapted.Because of carrier at the rear, frame diameter was too small so had to "pad it out" and help secure with cable ties.Once fitted, very happy.

Good light; really bright.
Very bright rear light, it's not bulky and it looks great on my road bike. Plenty of lighting modes. Perfect for inner city riding.

Love the lights and the rechargable battery
Love the lights and the rechargable battery, only downside is the rubber ties/clip that to attach to the bike may not last... so I will be taping mine on

A good bright tail light
Impressed with this bike light so far. Not used it in wet weather yet though hopefully it still works after a good soaking.

Let down
I really wanted to like this item however my experience after 4 weeks using approximately 1 hour per day Monday-Friday is that the batteries run out in less than a week. I am just over the 4 week returns policy which is upsetting. I would advise people do not buy.
