Perhaps the most scholarly and well researched work on pottery and porcelain I've ever seen. Recommended for those with a serious interest in the historical, cultural and artistic aspects of this craft over the centuries. This is not a book for those who just like to buy pottery at yard sales in the hopes of selling for a quick profit. Recommended for those with serious interest in the topic.

Beautiful book, but arrived with wrinkled and torn dust cover. Would like to return for a replacement book, but have lost the packing slip.

Well written and illustrated book! We can have a general idea of the World Ceramic History. It is a fundamental book for those who want to study and know Ceramics besides its possibilties.

This is a beautifully illustrated book. The pictures in here are truly inspirational to anyone--not just potters. If you are fan of art, or even just enjoy a good coffee-table book, I highly recommend this one.

Seems like good info, but hard to read after reading deWaal's work.

Exactly what I was after. A complete history of pottery. Well written with great photos.

I ordered this as a present for a friend but had a look through before I wrapped it and it looks great. Good quality binding and printing and lots of excellent colour photos.
