My wife needed to level up the audio for her TikTok videos, and as a Video Production teacher, I was the "research and find the best option" designee. I landed on the RODE Micro. She didn’t want the bigger GO III or the Pro - too bulky. The Micro’s slimmer, low-profile look was exactly what she wanted. From a tech perspective, I was nervous about losing 32-bit float. But after a week of test filming while living amongst five rabid 2-to 10-year-olds, it has not been an issue. Levels stay clean, the audio is crisp, and the noise floor is impressively low for something this size. The magnets are a game-changer. RODE really nailed the design here - the magnetic clip makes mounting ridiculously fast. No fumbling, no weird clothing wrinkles, no trying to hide a transmitter the size of a Poptart under a shirt. Just click-and-go. For quick run-and-gun creators (or for parents who only get quiet moments in 45-second bursts), it’s a lifesaver. A few other things that stood out: Small footprint: Looks clean on camera, especially for social content. Feels surprisingly premium: Solid build, smooth finish, and nothing rattles or feels cheap. Easy charging/storage: The whole ecosystem just makes sense. It lives in her purse now (and somehow hasn’t disappeared into the abyss). Reliable wireless: No random dropouts, even with our house full of WiFi devices and tiny humans running around like Bluetooth interference machines. My wife loves it, her followers immediately noticed the upgrade, and I’m honestly impressed with how much quality RODE squeezed into something this small. We use the RØDE Wireless Micro system at work for virtual demos over video calls, and it’s been an excellent solution. The audio quality is clear and consistent, which immediately makes our demos feel more professional. One of the biggest advantages is the ability to have two people in the demo room at the same time, both mic’d up and clearly heard on the call. Why did you pick this product vs others?: WOW! The noise cancelling feature of these mics is incredible. I've been in noisy city streets and yet you can't hear the traffic at all, just my voice coming through crystal clear. The furry windscreens are a great addition preventing wind noise, yet my voice doesn't sound muffled at all. The app is easy to use and now there's no need to use the adapter if recording video through the app, just turn on the app and start filming and the mics work automatically. The charge lasts longer than you'll need and the rechargeable case is incredible. I'm so happy with this purchase and completely love how amazing they work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

After watching many reviews, I ordered the mics. They were $50 bucks less than the original price. They came within the 2 day shipping period. They sound great. Rode makes great sounding mics and these are like advertised, plug and play, great quality and good price.

PROS: Love the sound and having the option of the magnetic or spring clip is wonderful. I've been trying to do some home recording, but keeping my boom mic out of my face is difficult when I need to look at my screen, plus to keep things consistent without a live engineer, I have to keep my face one (capped) Sharpie's length away from my pop filter. But it's uncomfortable. I thought my post-prod workflow could work fine on something a bit less powerful than a Yeti-X and this is rocking in my initial tests. CONS: Nothing you can't fix with some creativity. First, the USB male plug isn't great with my desktop setup where the desktop is under my desk. I have a cable connected to the back of the tower that comes up to the desk for connecting things like this, but it's got a male connector. So I need a female-to-female adapter. Second, the included case holds the mics and receiver, but not the fuzzy wind shields or the charging cable or my adapter. One of the reasons I replaced my old wireless lav set, besides the quality difference, was that I lost my USB-C to lightning adapter on a business trip and was SOL. Had to borrow a co-worker's Android phone. A cheap drive case (like I use for my 4TB portable drive) will do the trick as a meta case for all of it but it would be nice if one was included. Third, I have searched this listing, scanned the QR on the box and went through the literature at their site. You really have to dig to find out the max life is 7 hours per mic per charge with the case being able to do 2 recharges if all of them start at 100%. 21 hours per mic is pretty good, but how long does it take to recharge a mic? They don't say, just that it takes 3 hours to recharge the case that has at least 4x the capacity of either mic. Since most of my use through the end of the year will be limited to projects that won't need more than 3-4 hours, I can test for myself, but something like how long it takes to charge a mic to 80% and 100% would be highly appreciated in the product info.

Works perfectly except for one issue. If you even touch it at all, say the smallest micro adjustment (the receiver connected to phone) you will instantly lose connection. The app works fine to update it. It looks sleek and records audio exceptionally. Update: Ordered a new pair. Issue fixed. Works like a charm. They didn't cover return shipping, so 4 stars remains my judgement.
