Open casement on table as inner parts can come apart , easy to reassemble would buy again.

Rubber socket ???????
Says it is a rubber socket. It is not. May be rubberised plastic but certainly not made of rubber. I have just replaced an old rubber socket which was made of RUBBER

Did the job.
Had a bit of problem as the earth contact fell out when I opened it up. I found it and wiring it up was a bit fiddly but it works well.

Fine, but take care when wiring up
Fine, but take care when wiring up. There is an internal sliding safety cover for the live & neutral connectors, closed by a small spring. The cover came loose and while attempting to re-fit it, the spring "pinged" away and was lost forever.

Is it rubber?
It is advertised as a rubber extension socket, it is a hard nylon/ plastic socket.It is lightweight and suitable for purpose but not as described.
