First of all, I need to declare that I am not a review fan(reviewer).I searched tons of dash cams on Amazon for nearly a week before I decided to buy this one.Decent packaging and accessories: cigarette lighter cable, mini USB cable, suction cup mount, and user manual. There is no SD card, of course I know that the seller has stated it(that the package does not contain a card). According to my experience and the description of the listing, I order a Samsung SD card. Thanks to the speed of Amazon, they arrived at the same time. I started the installation after checking the detailed manual, it's a great experience.1. The manual is very helpful. It guided my installation with several pictures in quick reference.Insert SD card, mount the suction cup, connect cigarette lighter, all of this is easy and simple with this quick reference.2. After I powered it on, it prompted me "please format the Sd card".Just follow the wizard, all is done quick and successful.3. The footage is really clear with its default 1080P resolution.After my test, I can tell this camera can take a clear picture of license plate 12-foot away.Of course, this needs to be viewed on the computer as you know the camera's screen is only 3 inches.4. Loop Recording is great, the default is 3 minutes.Although I only have a 16GB SD card, I won't worry my storage outage with its loop recording.Even so, I still recommend checking if your camera is still working properly every week.5.Last but not least, its gravity sensor can do what it's designed to do .After being activated, I found that there is a lock on the screen and this locked video will not be deleted automatically, which is very important to me. Whether it is presented to the police or the court, this is very important.All in all, this cheap camera made me happy even beyond my expectations.

I got this to replace my old dash cam that was stolen a few months ago. I was skeptical at first since it’s cheap in comparison to other top brands but am glad I took the chance and got it. It works extremely well and great for what I needed it for.Firstly, the picture is great. I’m impressed with how clear and vivid the colors are. I am impressed with how clear and vivid the colors are. The video pixels are good during the day; you can tell it’s 1080P and not just falsely advertised. This is very beneficial, picking up license plate numbers and stuff very easy and clear.It also has a feature that senses wrecks to where it will lock the accident video, so you can use the video to show your insurance. This is a huge plus and one of the main reasons I got it.Another plus is it comes with a super long cord that makes it easy to put the dash cam wherever you want. My last one was a Garmin and trying to reach a good spot to where it kept charging, as well as had a good view was a challenge. This comes with a 13ft cigarette lighter cord so no issues here.It comes with everything you need to get started. The mount stays on well and was super easy to install. My only complaints are that it didn’t come with an SD card and isn’t compatible with WIFI. Other than that, it works well and I’d recommend it for anyone who just wants on as an extra safety measure.

This is my third time to buy a dash cam in a year since my first one quit work in a couple of months and my last one is not working properly after several months. I came across this AROVA dash cam on Amazon as it has all the features I want and it is a new arrival. For the small electronic devices in my opinion the newer, the better. So I decided to give it a try and it turns out for the price it is way better than what I expected. First of all, it is much smaller than my old one but with the same screen size 3". I uploaded some pictures to compare the dimensions. This cam is lighter and smaller and it does more in term of functions. Secondly, I do not have to reconfigure the time and date every week. My old cam has the difficulty to hold the time stamp. It reset the time to the original factory time every week which is really annoying. This one does not have the issue, even I do not drive the car for several days. Thirdly, this cam has a 170 degree wide viewing angle. My old one only has 120 degree which can only fully cover the front lane and I would miss the passenger side's view. It is also easy to install and it sticks to the windshield firmly. Lastly and the most important aspect for me is it actually supports Sandisk Ultra 64GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card well. I am so sick of the limitation of the memory card. I really want the card can store a week of videos. Finally this one can use the memory card larger than 32GB. I would like to recommend this cam to anyone who just wants to leave the dash cam on the windshield and forget about it, the cam is just working as it should be.

It is not my first dash cam, but it is the one I am most satisfied with. I have a Samsung SD card, I am very lucky that this it works with the dash. I am a big fan of loop recording , which makes me not worry about whether my card is full or not. But just in case, I recommend checking it once a week.The camera starts/stops automatically when the USB cable is powered (car is started/stopped) and does seem to be loop-recording as configured. A blinking blue light is readily visible from the screen of the camera, rather than on its underside, and the camera screen does turn off automatically as configured if you choose the "screen timeout" . The camera doesn't generate any distractive noise while driving and just whiles away the time recording faithfully the scene within its view. This camera is as functional as it is convenient for placement on the windshield, and well worth the asking price. I feel safer have some back-up for happenings on the road.
