I love the design of these. My Grandmother had a version of this type of measuring cup. These are designed better by adding a lip on the edge which fits very comfortably in my hand with my fingers fitting under the rim to hold the cup. These are also heavier metal and sturdier than the old aluminum cups from my Grandmother. I am finding I am using these more than my other measuring cups with a handle as I have bad hands and these make it easier to hold the cup with my finger wrapped under the lip, it doesn't hurt as much as using a handle to scoop or hold. I think these are much easier to scoop dry ingredients, I have better control with my finger tucked under the rim. I think these are very good quality, I do think they might be a little overpriced, but I still love them! The only thing I would add is a 1/3 cup, I do miss that as my Grandmothers set had all 4, 1C-1/2C-1/3C-1/4C.

I purchased a similar looking and style of measuring cups/bowls set on at least two different occasions, and with each, despite paying premium prices, they disappointed me terribly. The main reason? The handles were of weak steel. Looked nice, but bent under little pressure. I mean, that's the whole purpose for the item! To dig into, at times fairly thick and dense ingredients, and hoist out measured portions. So frustrating when the handles would bend, and eventually either become unusable, except for very light items, and/or outright break. So, that was my major interest with this set: How sturdy and durable were the bowls and handles? Turns out: Extremely so! Wonderfully so! I would actually struggle under full strength to bend one of these handles even a little. As for all the rest, it's great. The bowls are nice, polished, stainless steel. They look great. They have a nice, useful shape, for both retrieving ingredients, as well as dispensing them. They nest fairly well in one another, and for me, these are my new go-to's for the foreseeable future.
