I was having problems with chrome extensions / viruses taking down my chrome browser. I really couldn't afford to have my whole machine taking down by viruses because I use it in my home office. So, I did some research on "paid" antivirus software (the freebee stuff wasn't cutting it) and picked up Bitdefender because it was highly rated.I haven't had a problem since installing Bitdefender (knock on wood). Also, the software appears to be very robust. It's like somebody installed CIA level incryption protection or something, with all the features this software has. You can browse sites anonymously, use it for performing highly secure credit card transactions, as well as the usual antivirus protection. They also have an option to protect multiple PC's (and macs, and I think cell phones) so you and your family can be protected under one subscription (very neat!).All in all, I highly recommend this software if you want to protect your PC (or MAC).

i put the SW on my 86 yr old fathers Dell computer. He has not broken it, nor he has not had to call his level 3 support (me) with questions. Put it on your machine, select auto updates (or something like that) and it will protect your machine.

Its good software, but it's more intrusive than other brands I've used. I prefer my my antivirus to not bug me unless there is a problem. That and it likes to shut my windows protection software off.

Best virus support ever! After a clean format and reinstall moving from a hard disk to a SSD all I had to do was a short confermation and boom! I was able to reinstall the program without having to buy a new subscription!! Thank you very much Bitdefender!!**Attention: This may work too well needing your games on steam to be manually input to the program in order to create save locations.

Less than a one star.I down loaded the program and then ran it. It crashed my system and I spent at least two hours trying to correct the crash. I finally was able to get back to Safe Mode and restore my computer to a previous time. Once again it works.I couldn't even get to Safe Mode for a long time...

If there is one thing that I do recommend these days for computers, is that you get a secure and strong piece of security software. While there have been many different brands of software that claim they will protect you, in the long run they actually can be more of a problem. Considering there are brands that do clog up your computer and take too much space like McAfee & Norton. But there are also other ones over the years that have undercut the value of protection for your computer like Kaspersky. Nevertheless, out of all that brands that I recommend, Bitdefender has been one of those brands that really does the best job at protecting your computer. They really have evolved nicely over the past several years, and they don't keep stopping. Their Antivirus 2018 does a excellent job at protecting your computer from all of the malware, Trojans, and phishing that can hinder your computer. While it may only prevent you from getting threats with a breeze, Bitdefender doesn't slow your computer down with after a few uses. If you only need the basics for your computer, than Bitdefender's Antivirus Pus is the best software you can get for a better sweep than all the rest.Price: B+Convenience & Setup: BOverall: B 1/2+

I love it when it easy download software with no problem.

Well I installed this on 2 of my laptops, a 4 core i5 and a 4 core/8 thread i7. I have not noticed any performance drop on my i7 laptop but my i5 definitely has some lag now. I guess that protection has its costs. both laptops are running nvme ssd drives and both are at 8 gigs of ram.
