Regulus.
I love my G-SHOCK'S, but I wanted something a little different. The Regulus is a great alternative. And in some aspects a better alternative. Simple and intuitive; this is where the Regulus shines over G-SHOCK. There is a minimal amount of sub menus, which creates easy and quick operations. Big digits and a bright (adjustable) LCD backlight are a big plus. Easy to operate with gloves. Fit and finish are equal if not better then most G-SHOCK'S. All this being said, only time will tell if the Regulus will hold up to even the most basic G-SHOCK, which has proven to to be the pinnacle of tough/reliable watches. Throw a solar charge on this watch and it would be a real giant killer.

Over Priced.
Ok, it’s a nice watch but not worth $129.00. Let’s face it what does it do more than any other $5 Chinese digital watch NOTHING. It’s water proof down to 100m, really. Who going to wear this scuba diving even down to 20m, you wouldn’t be able to read it. It’s good for playing army out in the woods on Saturday if it starts to rain I guess. As an operator I wouldn’t be depending on something like this. I’ll keep it and wear it out in the woods on Saturday playing army if it starts to rain.

Nice watch, but missing some common sense features
I really wanted to love this watch. I definitely liked it. It looks cool, it's supposed to be tough, and it's really comfortable to wear (more so than my G-shock). But there were some features (or lack thereof) that I just couldn't get past. For one, the emphasis on the dual chronograph... I guess that's neat if you need to keep time on two separate events at the same time. You can view both chronographs from the main time screen, and you can also see the time/day/date from the chronograph screen. So, bonus points there, IF that's a feature that you find useful. I personally had literally zero use for it. That's on me.The countdown timer however did not get the same treatment. You can run only one timer at a time (two would have been neat, but I guess the special ops guys they consulted with didn't deem that feature relevant), but you can't see the current time, day, or date from the timer screen. You also can't see the timer count down from the main time screen. There is a little icon that signifies that a timer is currently running, but that's it. ALSO, you can press a button on the main time screen and flip the day/date to the current year. I'm sorry. What person running this kind of "tactical" watch doesn't know what YEAR it is??? Instead of adding a completely useless feature like this, this would have been the perfect place to put a quick-view option for the countdown timer. A huge missed opportunity in my opinion. There are a lot of complaints about the display being too dim... I'm personally used to negative displays on my watches, and they do tend to look a little dim especially in poorly lit rooms, but outside or in well-lit areas I didn't have a problem viewing this display. If this is a concern, they do now offer positive displays on this watch. So, if you're a "special ops" person (or maybe you could use it for exercise timing, it was just heavily advertised as being for special ops types, and I was a sucker for that cool factor lol) who finds timing 2 things at the same time useful, then this is the watch for you.It definitely looks cool, it looks and feels like it can take a beating, and it's super comfortable to wear.I started to give it three stars, but overall I'm giving it four. I don't feel that it intentionally misrepresents itself, however I do feel that there are missed opportunities here. I think it's a great first try, but that they could do better. Add some functionality to the countdown timer like they've done with the chronograph and a 24hr option (most it can currently count down from is 60 min), and a vibrate and/or flashing light option for when the timer/alarm goes off and this watch would be damn near perfect. In my opinion ;)Hope this has been helpful!

Solid Watch!
After playing around with the watch and overcoming the initial overwhelming excitement and feeling of getting something new, along with learning something new... I like this watch a lot. It really is simple as described. It has all the main functions you need to be operable in a high optempo environment without feeling like you'll potentially trip over buttons and multiple screens. Also when they say durable, they must mean it because this is a solid watch. You can feel the density but it's still pretty comfortable to wear. The materials are far from cheap. The wristband is great; the tail end of the band is secured and won't slip out easily as some watches do. I have a Garmin Vivo Active HR which I like to use on a normal basis for the smart functions but sometimes it just has too much going on, plus the band slips out sometimes.I can't wait to take this out to the field and give it a good run. I'll give an update after this summer and let you all know how it goes.

Dim, Dim Display
This is a really good looking watch, unfortunately, I had to return it. The display is just ridiculously dim unless you depress the light button. This should not be the case. You should be able to see the time in broad daylight without having to light the display. Disappointing that they didn’t do a better job on what should have been a simple no brainer. We get it, it’s a tactical “looking” watch, but let’s not kid ourselves to believe that Navy SEALS are actually wearing these on covert ops missions.

Great watch. Perfect for what I need it to ...
Great watch. Perfect for what I need it to do. The dual timers are awesome and the watch layout and functionality is great! However, the wrist band screws came loose and the pin came out and I almost lost the watch. Nixon is sending me a set of replacement hardware. So if you buy one make sure you check and tighten the screws on the wrist band from time to time.

My New Go-To Watch...
My new go-to watch. I own tons of G-Shocks and this was an excellent addition to my rotation and as it turns out I've shelved my G-Shocks for this Nixon Regulus. I've taken it in the ocean multiple times surfing & stand-up paddling, banged it up and it shows toughness, it has a nice weight to it and the display is kind of vintage old school digital with the time being big as well as the day and date. Easy to switch and adjust the time and date, also the light on it is bright when needed. The camo Style band is excellent as well. You'll love it give it a shot!

Switches hard topress
It is a good watch but I found that toggeling between alarm sounding mode and silent mode was not possible for me. Hence, the watch was returned.

Time keeping
Everything is top quality, with only one downside the image should be a bit brighter.
