The lock arrived very quickly in a nicely padded clear case.Good quality practice lock, which is excellent for beginners to practice on.Would wholeheartedly recommend.

The quality of the lock is good - the body has excellent clarity and it's very informative to be able to see exactly how the lock mechanism works. However, the lock itself is just too easy to pick, and I say that as an absolute beginner with only the most basic of pick sets! You can even "pick" it with just a tension wrench with a little care, as it seems the only pin that matters is the very first one. A good instructional tool but not one that's much use for practicing on.

So I'll preface this by saying, this is the first and only practice lock in my possesion right now. So take this review with a grain of salt. That said, I'll be as objective as can be.Material Quality: Material wise, this lock seems nice. The plastic is nice, hard and clear. Metals also seem sturdy and serious so can't fault it on material quality.Build Quality: This is why it's rated 4 stars and not 5. Now, don't ge me wrong, this is still a very good practice lock. It does what it says on the tin and it does it well. That said, the locking mechanism on mines doesn't seem to actually stop anything on the short side of the shackle. Now before you run away, this may be by design for all I know, because the mechanism seems to stop the shackle from unlocking just fine on the other side of the shackle. So for what we need it for, it's fine. It's just not perfect to my eyes. Take that with a grain of salt as I am no lock specialist.All in all. It works. It's feels nice in the hand. It could be built a bit better. I'd still recommend it. :)

It worked

Wanted to learn a new skill in my free time so bought some picks and a practice lock. Was interesting to look at the internals of a lock and see how the pins work. As for practical experience. I opened it in seconds with just the tension tool. no prior experience. Was hoping for something a little more challeging that would let me use the picks. Will be using it on locking something non essential or to see how the picks effect the pins

Having never picked a lock before, my husband had this unlocked in less than a minute from opening - having said that it does show you the 'how' of how the lock works.

2nd I’ve bought. 1st was from elsewhere and I broke it due to being ham fisted.This one requires a delicate touch and a great training aid.

Tuttavia direi che la serratura risulta quasi troppo facile da aprire: avendo fatto pratica su vecchi cilindri di serrature tipo "yale" e lucchetti medio-piccoli, ho impiegato solo 3 o 4 secondi ad aprire questo.

Ich hatte keine Illusion, das Schloss als "Übungsschloss" zu besorgen, vor Allem weil das ganze Konzept von vorne und hinten nicht aufgehen kann.Was ich mir allerdings erhofft habe, war ein Schloss, dass die Grundlagen vom Schlösser knacken klar macht und visualisiert.Das Problem ist, dass dieses Schloss dafür einfach nicht geeignet ist, weil es viel zu einfach zu öffnen ist.Man würde sich wünschen, dass man sich zumindest darauf konzentrieren müsste die einzelnen pins zu manipulieren, dafür sind sie ja schließlich sichtbar gemacht, aber um dieses schloss zu öffnen reicht es tatsächlich einen Spanner für die Drehung anzulegen und dann einfach irgendein gerades stück ins loch zu schieben und 2-3 mal zu wackeln.Das Schloss spring jedes Mal auf.Selbst wenn ich versuche das zu ignorieren und mich auf die einzelnen pins konzentriere, das Schloss braucht absolut keine Präzision, und wenn man versucht die hinteren pins in die richtige position zu schieben, schiebt man mit dem Dietrich die Vorderen automatisch in die richtige Position oder zumindest eine die gut genug ist.

Sieht sehr hochwertig aus. Praktisch für anschauungszwecke. Auch als Dekoobjekt nutzbar.
