Kerbl Hamster Wheel, 30 cm

It’s really hard to review this properly. I have bought three of these in order to get one that is any good. The quality control of the 30cm flat wheel is appalling. One was so loose it wobbles horrendously and another the platter wasn’t close to being flat. The third of the three, however, is the best flat wheel we’ve ever owned - and we’ve owned a LOT.So if you get a good one, it’ll be amazing. However, statistically speaking, you’ll get unusable junk. If you can be bothered to keep sending the crap back, it’s worth your tune getting what is the best flat wheel for Syrians or Gerbils.If these guys upped their QA/QC then this could easily be a five star review.

Great idea. Wood great so if chewed not gonna hurt gerbils. Unfortunately the bearing is rubbish so it wobbles and squeeks when they run.

The item is off centre. The bearing also does not appear to be fixed with the wheel been held in the base by a peg. Even the very light weight of a baby Degu pushes this down very quickly to the point that the wheel and base touch. Friction then prevents the wheel from turning. If they could fix this, it would be a very good product. Unril then, this is the second one i have had to return as not fit for purpose.

Bought this as I was in need of an actual silent wheel, had read the reviews and had high expectations, of course at the price...When it arrived I immediately went and sanded it down (as many others have noted - that I was expecting) BUT then I realised that there was a silt in the wheel that the hamster should run on! The hole was big enough for a little paw to go in and small enough for it to get trapped...I then put it down, looked at it, span it and noticed another problem!The wheel was not straight, it had a tilt to it (/), and would 'jump' with every spin!I would never give something remotely dangerous to my hamster as she is loved and to be honest, I was very annoyed as I had spent just over £17 for rubbish!Now getting a refund and buying a different wheel...

This wheel is great, and perfectly silent as others have said. Just the sound of my hamster's pattering paws to be heard. When it arrived it had a few splintery-looking patches, so as others had mentioned in their reviews that it cut their hamsters' paws, I sanded it down thoroughly before putting it in my hamster's cage. I would recommend doing this, and the fact this is not done before shipping is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Once sanded, it is fine and safe.

Fast delivery !!ordred it at last night and got it next day.Many people have positive comment on this wheel but I still think it's bit pricy.It's definitely bigger than I thought especially when I get for my baby sayrian hamster(about 6 weeks old) but it's worthy to pay for it !!it's less noisy that the last one I got for her.And she loves it sooo much !!keeping running on it even through it's a bit hard to handle it .

If you're wanting a SILENT WHEEL then I would highly recommend this product. It's a tad on the pricey side but worth every penny. Please don't waste your money on plastic wheels. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 is because the inner side is quite rough, though a bit of sand paper to smooth it down does the job. Finally, can have a decent night sleep.

I got 2 of these wheels for my Syrian hamsters a great size and spins very well the only down side is the wood is rough on the wheel which should be sanded down for safety of the pet but other than that it is a great wheel
