Great detailed colouring book for both adults and kids!
I bought this book after already owning 'The Fairy Tale colouring book' which is also by Rachel Cloyne. This book is very similar so those that have the other book will certainly like this one and visa versa. The book is A4 in size and the same thickness as that book. The pages are all printed on both sides but are a lovely good thickness, although I don't know about whether felt pens would bleed through as I don't use them. The pages are a crisp white and just like her other book my pencils just glide over the page as I colour, making this some of the best quality colouring paper I've ever seen.I first came across Rachel Cloyne's work in 'Christmas world of stickers' and I'm so glad that she has these books out. Her illustrations are so detailed that adults will enjoy colouring these in. Each image has so much detail (and I love pictures with lots of different things happening in them) that you start colouring and then notice little things, little characters you didn't first see, or little creatures on the page. Each of the pages contains a different scene from Alice in Wonderland and on each page there is a little character to find, the 6 of diamonds. Just searching for this character among all the detail is fun enough let alone colouring the scenes in!I'll admit I only read Alice in wonderland once as a child and actually don't remember the full story, so some of the scenes such as the mock turtle talking about the lobster quadrille dance are a complete mystery to me, but it still doesn't matter as there's so much to colour in and you can still enjoy this book whether you know the story or not. Each page has a short sentence/quote from the book and then a picture to match. Some pictures are double page spreads and others appear only on one page. The only down side some people may have with this book is the pre-coloured parts. Every page has some parts of the scene pre-coloured. This is usually the grass or the sky. But this pre-colour really doesn't bother me and I don't think it would bother anyone else as the amount of colouring in to still do is so much - the look inside feature can help you see this colour and decide whether it would be an issue for you.I'd recommend this book to adults and kids or all ages. Everyone can enjoy this book. The detail of colouring in is really great for adults and the quality of the paper with pencils is lovely. And if you like this book I'd also recommend Rachel Cloyne's other book 'The Fairty Tale colouring book'. I can't wait to see if she releases more! :)

love it!
lovely colouring book, im an avid colourer-in and i find this book quite hard. The pages are thick so you can use felt on them and they don't bleed through. I brought this for myself and my 8 yr old daughter the fairy tales one, she's very happy and so am i. actually brought another one for my friend.

Lovely for fans of Alice and those who love a more difficult piece of colouring
What a lovely colouring book. Beautiful pictures which tell the story with additional text as you go along. My 9 year old daughter has really enjoyed this but older children and adults would too. Nice thick pages so the pens we have don't show through. It will take years and years to finish (so guess it never will be) but still a nice way to while away the hours.

Not many pages sadly
Nice illustrations, but a very thin book.I bought it for my young daughter who was having an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday, but it is probably more suited to an adult or much older child.

A lovely book. Great value.
There is an excellent, detailed review of this colouring book already on board, together with valuable short comments from a number of other reviewers. I can only endorse what is said there. It is a charming book and will give hours of pleasure to children, especially to those familiar with the Alice stories.
