OrthoStepRound Athletic Shoelaces 2 Pair Pack - Made in USA

I bought these for a pair of tan Chippewa 6" boots that I recently bought since I didn't care for the dark brown, thin laces. I was surprised at how much more comfortable these made the boots. They have a little bit of stretch to them, so I can pull them nice and tight, and they don't dig in like the original laces did, which were thinner and stiffer.I got these laces in tan, and it's exactly the color I wanted. It's a plain tan, not cream or yellow, just a very light/pale brown. They look pretty much exactly like in the pictures. They make a nice subtle contrast with my slightly darker boots. And since they're a very neutral color, I also put them on my dark brown work boots, which looks maybe a little unusual, but I like that they are versatile.Time will tell how they hold up, but so far I'm very impressed. They seem like they'll last a while, and even if they only last 6 months, two pairs for under $10 is cheap enough to just keep buying them. I haven't found any other laces I really like to put on my shoes.Previously I had a pair of Clarks Desert Boots, and for those I bought some of the OrthoStep flat dress laces, also in tan. I thought round laces would have looked goofy on the desert boots, but the thin, flat ones weren't very durable. I went through two pairs of those in a few months. However, I think some of it had to do with the design of the desert boots having only two eyelets per side and therefore putting a lot of stress on the laces to pull them tight. All this is to say that OrthoStep seems to make good laces, but these thicker, round ones are definitely more durable than the thin, flat ones.

Needed extra length for new sneakers and these fit the bill perfectly. Good quality and good price.

I was ordering replacement shoelaces for my Rockport Men's World Tour Classic Walking Shoes. These shoelaces were a great replacement, but are not as big as the original laces. Had they been a bit larger (bigger around) they would have been perfect. The 45" are the perfect length and now that I have them on the shoes you can't tell they are replacements - only I know because I took the old laces off to put these on and noticed the slight size difference.

Bought these as replacement for athletic shoelaces. Reminds me of the sturdy boot laces I had in the Army. They should last for years.

Initial Update after 1 month: Using on a set of boots (Fryes). Looks nice, sized correctly - stays tied. Shows slight amount of wear after 1 month. Will update to see how long they last (whether they fray and snap or they just get raggeddy looking but keep working). Prior laces I had (not original laces) - worked great and only got replaced after two years of use - because the ends started to finally fray. Hopefully these can last at least a year without the center of the laces getting raggeddy.

Not too many retail stores carry these type of shoelaces. They were exactly what I needed after my shoelaces started fraying after several years of use.
