Difficult to set up, but good once set up with premium functions and great small size
I have a lot of smart devices, from Hue lights and Wemo plugs, I found these the most difficult to set up, had to use AP mode in the end. It may have been to do with my BT Smart Hub (they tend to be a bit temperamental). After about 15 attempts I finally got this set up in the app.Once set up and hooked up to my Echo it's great, and the energy monitoring function is often much more expensive. They are also smaller than other smart plugs, making them more discreet and easier to fit in multi sockets. If they made it easier to set up it would be great. Lots of unusual button pressing processes in current setup.

Superb plug, completely transforms use of Amazon Echo
The biggest indication of how delighted I am with the TECKIN plug(s) is that I now have 13 of them in use!I am surprised some people found them difficult to configure/set-up too. I found it to be an absolute breeze if you follow the instructions to a tee. You download an app, plug the socket in, do as the step-by-step instructions tell you to and hey-presto, you've got voice control via Amazon Echo and the joyous moment that Alexa switches your light, fan, whatever you've got connected to it, on!They're a compact and well-made plug that don't distract the eye too much and have been very reliable to date.I can't commend TECKIN enough. If you need plugs to control devices via Alexa (or the other devices they say it is compatible with), buy the TECKIN product.

Excellent overall
These are fantastic plugs. I now have them all over the house! To me, they're the best on the market. I have never had any problems with any of them and setup is a breeze. An added plus is the size of them... they are small which means that (even though not 100% recommended) I have them on top of some of the plugs on my 5 and 10 plug extension leads throughout my house - some of which are housed inside cable management boxes - still they work well. So, setup, as with other smart (IoT) devices is a case of pairing that device with the Smart Life app. I have other devices already paired on this app and so my home WiFi is already connected on there, so it's just a case of selecting the device in the app and having it connect. Easy. The app is excellent, to be fair, allowing multiple devices to be controlled in a simple clean interface. I have all my smart plugs and smart bulbs appropriately labelled in there - and it is very easy to switch them on, off and to set timers, adjust brightness (in the case of the light bulbs), etc...Extending this further to add voice command support isn't a great deal more effort. It is just a case of adding the Smart Life skill to Alexa allowing you to be able to voice control the devices from there - I have my Alexa app paired with an Echo Dot and two separate Echo Shows in my house.Overall, very happy with these plugs and I will look to get more when they go on offer, which is regularly! So, why the 4 star...? Well, the price for one of them doesn't often represent the best value for money when compared to the price of buying 3 or 4 of these in a single pack.

Great little socket
Was debating buying a WiFi plug for ages and looking on reviews I finally bought the TECKIN plug very easy to set up and very easy to add to my Google home so it's now controlled via voice. You can rename the socket to what you want. I have it connected to a lamp. I will be buying another to control my outside light. As the photograph shows the smart socket does not interfere with the switches on the wall sockets so that's good. And it seems to remember your WiFi network when it's been unplugged. All good sofar just hope it's a reliable unit it feels like good quality so fingers crossed. Oh and you can control the smart socket via your mobile phone data so if your away from home you can turn the smart socket on and off.3 stars as I have only just got it so not sure on reliability otherwise it would be a 5 star.

Unless you log out of the Smart Life App and back in again you can’t add more plugs
We have lots of smart plus many this make, the trouble is when you want to add one it can be difficult if you don’t know that you need to log out of the Smart Life app then back in again and sometimes you need to log out of the Alexa app too. You can usually get the smart plug working quite quickly with the Smart Life App only but getting Alexa to discover the device is the hard part, took me a while to realise that logging out and back in makes the difference. I will say I’ve bought many Amazon Certified Smart Plugs but they don’t all get discovered the same way by the Alexa App some seem to work without any skill being enabled I would prefer this option but when your buying these it seems to be luck of the draw which kind you get. Probably best to choose one that doesn’t require an app to work with Alexa if that information is in the description. I’m also seeing the price of these rising considerably while you can buy an echo dot cheaply smart plugs are expensive.
