Fantastic coat. I like the chilly waters of Maine, and this coat makes it possible for me to change may suit quickly after my dips.

This is clearly a knockoff of the now popular Dryrobe Advanced Long Sleeve, albeit a bit over 30% less the price. It has a 2-way zipper like on the Dryrobe version, and it is a locking zipper, which means that If you decide to ventilate and want the zipper partially open from either the top or bottom, it won’t continue to unzip on its own unless you physically pull on the zipper pull.This is indeed fully waterproof. It may not breathe like a Gore-Tex jacket, but this is not something made for aerobic activity, so breathability is not really an issue. The light fleece lining is warm and cozy, and this can be used not only as a changing robe, but as a long cool weather rain jacket. To me it is kind of like a modern-day Australian Duster. My main intent for this is to use it on the dreariest of days on my farmstead when a short jacket with rain pants just would not do and I want a quick on/off item that I can use as I go from outbuilding to outbuilding, and this fits the bill perfectly.I had a little difficulty trying to decide which size to get, as I am right between sizes according to the size chart. I’m just over 5’8” with a 32” waist and I decided to go for the Small. This thing has plenty of room to wear over layers, but a Medium probably would have been fine too. I suppose if I ordered it as a dedicated changing robe, something a little baggier would have been better, but then I would have felt like Violet Beauregarde as a blueberry when just using it as solely a jacket. I will say, however, that the sleeves feel about 2-3 inches too short, and I wonder if the sleeves on the medium would have been longer.The two internal pockets on the left side are very helpful, as is the deep internal pocket with Velcro closure on the right side. The mesh pocket designed for a water bottle can also be used for things like sunglasses or a flashlight. The zippered chest pocket is great for a phone or wallet. The external handwarmer pockets are lined with fleece and have gutter flaps to help keep rain out and they even have zipper closures.If I have any cons, it is that I don’t like that it has a European zipper, that its, the slider is on the left side and not the right, so I struggle to get it zipped. I’m also not a fan of the omnipresent large branding all over the jacket, much of which is embroidered. I may put a black permanent marker to the branding to make it more subdued.If you use this robe for changing after getting out of the water, the synthetic fleece will absorb any moisture and then dry quickly once you are done using it. The price seems right for this as I always thought the Dryrobe equivalent was a bit much.

Great jacket. It’s big and bulky with ample room to change clothing. Love it.

I loved my last Adkida robe so I purchased another one. That is disgusting. It had the faint smell of someone wearing it....and when I started looking at the inside it has fuzz and multiple DIFFERENT colored strands of hair stuck to the inside. It doesn't appear that someone just tried it on and returned it. It was all wrinkled up like someone used it a few times and returned it. So, for that....I give it one star and a return. 2-2025 update....My other robe; the zipper is broken after one year of very, very LIGHT use!!! Booooooooo

A nice warm - warm-up coat, Sherpa is thick.

First off, mine has several holes in it, which is unacceptable quality control.I got the XL, I'm a 6 foot male (and usually wear an XL). This is supposed to be an oversized item, big enough to change underneath. But it fits me like a normal coat, it's not oversized at all.I think these are women's sizes. The zipper is left-handed, which is typical for women's clothing. It looks like a unisex item, I have no problem at all wearing it, in fact I think it's sharp. But I think the sizing is for women.Even so, the sizing runs a little small. My wife is 5 foot 7, and usually wears a womens medium. The XL is a good fit for her, but even she could use some extra room underneath. She can change a t-shirt underneath, but if you're peeling off something tight and wet like a swimsuit, she needs more room to maneuver.I tried the XL on children - ages 10 and 13 - and it's a good fit for them.So this is not a coat or normal parka, they're calling it a swim parka or changing robe.The intent is to cover up while you're changing out of a swimsuit, or something warm to throw on after being outside and possibly getting wet.It's too small for me to change clothes underneath, but it's still perfect for days where I go for a brisk swim. I would normally bring an oversized towel and a normal coat (which would get wet), and instead I can just bring this and throw it on. It reaches me mid-to-lower thigh, but shorter people it might reach your knees or even below your knees. So it warms up almost your entire body.It's also great to throw over your shoulders at a cold sporting event - you can even pass it around. Or to use after water sport, even summer water sports if the water is cold.The outside is mostly waterproof, but the inside is not - it's just fleece.I don't have any complaints about the material, but the construction (stitching, etc) is kindof cheaply done. I expected better construction, given how expensive this thing is.Despite its shortcomings (sizing problems, cheaply built) I still like it because it solves a common problem for me, and I haven't seen anything better. All of these "swim parkas" seem to be generic import brands, and probably have similar issues. This one looks heavier/warmer than most. I wish there were something better to recommend. I would normally give this a 4 star but let's call it 3.5 stars because I think it's a tad too expensive.
