Muhammad Ali: By the Numbers

Full of amazing and thought-provoking information on Muhammad Ali and many of his opponents. An unmissable read!
This was, without a doubt, one of the best books that I have ever read. Not just one of the best boxing books... one of the best books, period. I have always thought of myself as knowledgeable about Muhammad Ali, and this book has showed me that I still have a lot to learn, and that is awesome! I was amazed at how Muhammad Ali was much less the defensive master, even in his prime, that I had always supposed him to be. Particularly in his later years, when his impressive prime passed him by, he absorbed more and more punches. I always knew that Ali-Holmes was terrible, but to read the statistics was thoroughly shocking, particularly concerning round 10. I came away from reading this book feeling very well, as I have learned a lot about my favorite Heavyweight boxer... nay, my favorite boxer and athlete, period... and treated myself to the work of two geniuses, Mr. Bob Canobbio and Mr. Lee Groves. Congratulations, and thank you very much, gentlemen!

A Comprehensive Accounting of Ali’s Boxing Career.
This book is far more interesting and informative than it has any right to be, since it’s based on fight stats. Well-researched and written, it will give boxing fans young and old a new perspective from which to view Ali and the sport of boxing.

Great Take On The Greatest
This book has it all. Numbers, and many great stories about Ali and the fights of the time. We get a nice look into some fights that are not typically discussed in Ali lore, like the Ernie Terrell fight, a great performance that does not get enough attention. There is also a unique look at Ali's much talked about battle with Doug Jones. Since there is so must to digest, Ali By The Numbers is a book that also has plenty of replay value. There is no way you can take it all in in one read. Great job@

Like nothing I've ever seen in a boxing book!
This is the most amazing compilation of data on "The Greatest" ever produced. There has not been a book like this (that I know of). I hope there will be follow ups with some other great boxers. Amazing Stuff for fans of Muhammad Ali. Canobbio and Groves NAILED IT with this one!
