It’s interesting these are released in advance of Christmas - they’re not just suited to the festive period, but would work as decorations for any time of year to brighten up whatever you want to brighten, from bedroom to shed to man cave, although don't expect masses of light from them. As Christmas-style lights they add a warm glow, but nothing fantastically bright.At 1.65 metres long it will wrap around a tabletop tree, but is too short for a living room tree. But that’s still long enough to hang it across walls for decorative purposes.You get the core characters Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman and Butters (the best!) twice. They’re premium feeling with some chunk to them to glow and disperse light, each of the designs printed on the back side, so be careful not to scratch the paint off when they rub against stuff.It’s a shame that you can’t use them with rechargeable batteries, or so the instructions claim. Many of us will be doing everything to avoid sending disposables to landfill, but these are stuck in the past a little.Speaking of batteries, the back compartment is screwed far too tight, with a screwhead too fine to be able to unscrew it without having to cause damage to the case. Maybe your guests aren’t going to notice your battery pack is damaged, but you’ll know it is, and damaging something you just got isn’t a pleasant experience.Come to think of it, if South Park was to do a Christmas lights set, they’d probably have Mr Hanky, and not the main characters as their mascot… something to think about!Great merch on the front facing side, but let down with bad battery pack issues.

The media could not be loaded. These South Park come nicely packaged, and would make an ideal gift for a fan of the show.The lights are fantastic quality. Each character is made of a chunky piece of acrylic, which allows the lights to shine through. The printing is excellent, with bold, vibrant colours.The lights are operated by 2AA batteries. The battery compartment was a bit of a faff to access, as it required a small screwdriver to open it. The lights can be switched on and off with the simple switch.Superb quality, bright lights. Great fun. Would recommend!

Ok so these are not the longest of lights but they look great above my desk. For any fan of South Park, these will make a fab gift. Bright and colourful and with the main characters, they would make a lovely stocking filler or just a nice thing for a bit of nostalgia even though the shows still going!

I’m really pleased with these lights, they look great, and I wish they were a bit longer!They come packed in a well-illustrated box which would make a great gift, and they require 2x AA batteries to operate (not included). Even using cheap batteries, the lights work for many, many hours so they don’t consume much energy.The quality of the lights is very good, and the characters all look great. The battery case is very cheap, and I broke the clip while being gentle with it but apart from that everything else is fine.The brightness of the lights is just right in my opinion, although some lights are brighter than the others depending on which way round they are facing. They are bright enough to give a small amount of ambient lighting out, but they still light up the characters perfectly.Overall, I’m more than happy to recommend these lights but £15 is a lot more than I would pay for these, so the value isn’t great. I feel four stars is appropriate for them!
