These are good solid shelves but I didn't mount them, I used them as shelving on a metal corner unit so that I would have a solid flat surface for shelving. They worked great!

These shelves look great once they are installed. They install using 2 large screws on one side of shelf. This is fine if you're installing in a concrete wall or can drill into a stud. However, it's tough to get a sturdy install on a sheetrock wall. After drilling the wall, and installing the inserts and studs, be very careful pushing the shelf onto the studs. If you push too hard, the inserts will push right into the wall - there is no rim or flange on the end to stop them from going into wall. I ended up putting a small L-bracket under the unsupported side so they don't sag.

These shelves are very sturdy and easy to install so convuentment

Extremely cute shelf - but you mount it on one side only - therefore the shelves are not straight. I suppose that i will have to add some kind of brace for the other side. I would not put anything heavy on them, not anything in an area where kids are jumping around and shaking the floors, because as you can, everything would slide right off, slicker than poo. Yes installation was easy, but now there are these huge fracking holes in the wall, so i am not returning them.

They looked sturdy and very nice. wall screws looked HUGE for them and looked as though they would be free foating which is what I wanted. Just need them about 3" larger. Returned.

They went for simplicity with this design and it works pretty good, but it really can't hold that much weight. I wish they include some sort of option for the other side of the shelf so that it could support more weight. I think that I will end up rigging something up of my own in order to get this thing to stay up.

I'm giving these shelves 2 stars because the shelves are very pretty and the shelf pieces themselves are well made. The mounting system, however, is awful. These shelves come with holes on one side and large dowel bolts. You cannot install these in drywall without causing serious damage. Also, they cannot hold any real weight because there is zero way to secure it on both sides without buying additional brackets. My husband builds things for a living....he gave up and bought brackets to mount the shelves with. The only way to "float" the shelves is to cause major wall damage and put no more than a few ounces of weight on them. I would not recommend unless you have solid wood or concrete walls. Disappointing purchase.
