New favorite appliance!
This will be long, bear with me. I'm not a huge coffee drinker until the cooler weather starts, but I've had the craving lately. I've had Keurigs and Nespressos, and they each have their pros and cons. Keurigs for availability of pods but lack of taste, Nespresso for excellent taste but proprietary pods, and both usually take up quite a bit of space. As you can see from my picture (ignore the mess, this was right after a cooking session), my counter space is VERY limited, which brings me to why I keep getting rid of every machine I've had: I just simply don't have the room for the nicer machines, and hate the taste of the cheaper ones. But this Ninja coffee maker? Oh, it's the best of ALL worlds. We have several Ninja appliances and already trust the brand to be well made and worth any price. This is no different. The fact that you can use K-Cups or regular coffee grounds for single use is great, and the frother option included? Comes in a bunch of various colors? Is compact and easy to clean? Could you really ask for anything more out of a coffee maker? Of course, just to be sure of my purchase, I read other reviews before buying. One person wrote that this entire machine was made with love, and I could not agree more. Every single aspect of this machine was thought of, and that was clear down to the way it was packaged. Everything is meant to fit on the machine at all times, and has space saving options (like when either the K cup spot vs grounds spot is being used, the other is utilized for storing parts for the other), and everything goes together neatly. You honestly don't even need directions on setting it up, because everything just makes sense and is clearly labeled. You can brew regular strength, rich, over ice, and espresso, all perfectly measured and ridiculously quick to brew (and at the perfect temperature!!). I had several K cups ready to go and was eager to see if there was really a difference that people noted in their reviews, and there was. Normally, K Cups taste extremely watered down and just... Bland to me. But the way this machine equally disperses the water through the cup ensures you get an actual good brew of coffee every single time. Even pods I've tried in my old machine and wasn't fond of immediately tasted better in this one. I have yet to use the regular grounds on our machine, but I have no doubt it'd be easy to use. Nor have I used the frother, but I did a mock trial of it just to make sure I wouldn't mess something up and it was simple to execute and to take apart afterwards when you'd need to clean. Everything just goes right back onto the machine afterwards. Truly, every little thing you could have qualms with other machines, this one has thought of. It is simple, elegant, and so easy to use. If you're looking for a combo coffee maker, look no further!

This is a well-designed and versatile coffee maker.
A very versatile and well-designed coffee maker. The ability to brew with both coffee pods and grounds makes it practical for everyday use, and the results are consistently good. It is simple to operate, heats quickly, the drip rate is consistent, producing a balanced cup every time, and the pour is smooth with no dripping or spills. A solid option for anyone who values convenience and quality!

The brewed ground coffee is the best for a single serve coffee maker!
Firstly, the brewed coffee that the Ninja pods & grounds makes is phenomenal for a single serve coffee maker! A kcup is only as good as a the brand of kcup, no machine will rectify that. I have had a classic Keurig for years. It works fine. Once in awhile it gets clogged and I have to take the top casing off to prime the water tube and then its back in action. I started to look for a new slimmer keurig with good water capacity which landed me on this Ninja. I have other Ninja products and they preform well enough. I sifted through a lot of reviews. The one that stands out is the guy (I assume) who points out all of the things to do right to be successful using this machine. They pointed out to follow the directions of priming the machine first and to press the kcup down to snap it in before closing the lid to brew (which helps so that your kcups aren't exploding). Also, double check your cups to make sure they aren't damaged before using (this is solid advice for any kcup machine). I will say that when I first added water to the tank and sat it down there was some initial leaking. So, I was afraid I had gotten a leaker. But, I continued with priming it and then made my first kcup. There has been no leaking since, so it must have been that first set up needed to seal the gaskets. It was easy enough once you figured out what went where. The selection process is easy enough too. I like a rich flavored coffee. The kcup was meh. But that's to be expected as I've got a generic brand. No machine will fix the taste of a cheap kcup. Darn. Oh well, the 2nd cup I brewed was with ground beans. I used a medium grind and 3 scoops to 10oz on the rich setting. It was so good! I could probably choose 12oz and still have a great brewed rich coffee. I took a few photos of the brewer to show the Glacier Blue. I think the color is very sleek. The water tank is crystal clear and the tank is small, but holds a lot of water (more than my classic keurig). I will add that the coffee brewing basket is nice but not super easy or quick to clean, so I'm going to get some of the paper filters suggested by other reviewers. Its worth noting that the coffee can drip for a bit after its done brewing, so if you're in a hurry, you'll have more dripping after a brew which will be collected in the drip tray. I just leave my mug there for every drop. The drip tray is adjustable for different height sizes of cups and mugs. This is helpful to keep coffee splatter to a minimal. Also, the unit features a built in auto shut-off - no extra button to push for it to work! Since the Ninja pods & grounds is new to me and I haven't used it much, I will update the review if anything changes.

Great coffee machine
I did a lot of research on different coffee makers before deciding on this one. I am so glad I purchased this product! It’s well-made and I love how slender it is and doesn’t take that much room on my coffee bar. It’s very sturdy and stable. The temperature of the hot water is perfect. You can make different types of coffee and the built-in frother on the side is a huge plus. It works great and is easy to remove for cleaning. It’s a great quality coffee maker and I use it several times a day to make different types of coffee.

Leaks
My last coffee maker was the keurig duo. After 3 years it started making noises and brewing the wrong cup suzes. I searched every coffee maker for a replacement and found this ninja. I loved everything about it especially the ground coffee basket. It has an attached frother on one side and slide in basket on the other side which holds the ground coffee basket. The ground coffee scoop attaches to the side. It was packed in the ninja box in another. Everything was wrapped separately. It took a lot more time unpacking it than it did to set it up. I followed all the instructions step by step. It was actually quite easy. I flushed the water thru as instructed. Afterwards I put in a peets kcup hit go. It brewed the coffee which was surprisingly too hot to take more than a tiny sip. I really liked this machine and it came in moss green. I left for an hour. When i came back my counter was flooded with water. I immediately thought it was from my old keurig and i hadn't noticed it. I noticed to water tank only had a little bit of water in it. It still didn't click until i refilled the water reservoir and put it back on. Slowly water started seeping from underneath the machine. The water in the reservoir had bubbles. I immediately took the reservoir off and put it on a dry paper towel to look for a crack. There wasn't one and the water wasn't bubbling off the machine. The water was still coming from under the machine because it was already in there. I thought check with Amazon online. I put in the info and the reply was i can get a refund. I didn't want a refund i wanted to exchange it. Nope have to return to kolhs not whole foods or Amazon fresh right below me. I decided to check the instruction sheet again. Ah troubleshooting. There's a section on leaks. The very last scenario is if leak is coming from under the machine call customer service. I call and was pleasantly surprice how easy it was to get to talk to a person. Kellie was very personable. I explained the leaking from under the machine. The impression i got from her was this isn't a common problem we did a video chat she looked at the machine i showed her where the water was coming from. There are 2 empty holes on the bottom. I showed her i can stick my pen up into them. The other holes like those have a screw in them. There are also non skid dots on the corners. She had me put the reservoir with water back on. It took maybe 30 seconds and i said bubblesare starting to form which she was able to see. Luckily i had the dry paper towel where it was as the water began seeping out for her to see in real-time. I told her i thought it was coming thru the holes i could stick my pen into. I was on the phone with her for 30 minutes. Yes they would send me a new machine but even if i cut off the cord the needed this one back. They won't pick it up. I would have to take it the FedEx. There isn't a FedEx anywhere near me. There are a few UPS but it can't go there. They can't send the new until they get they get the defective one. It would a few weeks to get the new one. I thought shark/ ninja would want to look over the machine to find the defect. Then i thought why did i bother and go thru all of this when i can return it to amazon and reorder it. I wasted at least 30 minutes on the phone with shark ninja and didn't get anywhere while water was still leaking from under machine. I thought i was a doing a good thing in case other people were having the same problem. After reading many of the good reviews i decided to read the bad. I'm not the only one with a leaking machine. I packed everything up and put the machine and all parts back into the box to return to amazon. I was going to reorder one even tho they were out of the green before i got to return this one. In 2 or 3 days the price went way up. Now they have 3 different models of this machine. The one i had with the frother was 99.00. I think it's now 30.00. I can do without the frother i only cared about the ground coffee basket. I've been using my french press because i don't have a machine. I'm debating if i should order the one without the frother or buy a new keurig that comes with a basket for grounds. I gave 2 stars because i like the streamlined look of this and there's a place for everything built into the machine and the actual basket for ground coffee not a kcup looking thing.

Warning Your Oz. May Vary
Makes a decent cup of coffee. The instructions said to run 24oz. of just water through the machine first, to calibrate(?) before using. I put 24oz. in the reservoir using the measurements printed on the side. The only thing I had that held 24oz. was a measuring cup. I pressed the button, and got 28oz. back. Who is off? I don't know, but since this is very hot liquid I thought I would mention this so you would know to be careful if you were running close to the size of your container. My 16oz. travel mug was a little more filled then I would like, brewing at 14oz. I switched to a 12 oz and it works just fine. I have noticed that the size how ever is inconsistent. Other then size of an oz. being 1.20+ oz., this is a well thought out product. Has all the bells and the whistles work. Some cons are it uses more ground coffee then other makers, and the filter basket is some what harder to clean after the brew. I personally would have preferred the measuring scoop to hang on a hook, it is hard to place back on the rubber stopper that holds it. This is a unit for the coffee connoisseur. It goes well beyond just making a drinkable cup of coffee. It does take up a little more counter space then most. It is so nice to have a small appliance other then black siting in the kitchen. Not that there is anything wrong with black, I am not judging, it does come in black, too. If all you want is a cup of caffeine as you rush out the door, go to the gas and go, it's already made up for you. Yes I am judging. At the end of your life it will not be I should have stopped to smell the roses, it will be I should have stopped to taste the coffee.

5 STAR COFFEE MAKER BUT CAN ONLY GIVE 4 STARS!
This should be a 5 star review… But I can’t let one little detail slip by. My Bunn went kaput and since my husband I are cutting back on coffee, I needed to find a suitable solution for a coffee maker. I also wanted to keep in mind we were wasting a lot of coffee since we both only drank a cup a day mostly before the gym. We would make much more than that daily in our regular coffee maker. It was very wasteful. I originally thought a Keurig coffee maker would be a better solution for us. I love the idea of the single serve coffee maker that the Keurig provides. However, I didn’t necessarily like that I had to buy Kcups to use it or buy a reusable nest to use it. I also was very indecisive about the Keurig. Then I came across the Ninja. This machine does everything that I want it to and more. I can make iced coffee. I can make super strong coffee. I can make classic coffee. And to top it all off literally, I can froth my milk or creamer for my coffee. I feel like the value for money with this coffee maker is very high. you can make pretty much any coffee you want with this machine. What I particularly love is that I can use a K cup if I want to, or I can just use regular ground coffee. This machine is compatible with both. Before reading the instructions I had bought espresso ground coffee and realized the instructions said you cannot do that. But to be honest, I don’t need espresso ground coffee to have a really strong shot of coffee. Which I absolutely love. I can make my favorite coffee which is pictured in my review pumpkin spice with pumpkin cold foam. In my 12 ounce coffee cup I brew 10 ounces of of classic brew. Then I add one pump of sugar-free pumpkin spice syrup. And then I froth my pumpkin spice Chobani creamer. Then I top it off with pumpkin spice sugar. I make this coffee for pennies on the dollar compared to getting something like this at Starbucks for seven dollars. So let me get to the part where I feel like Ninja let an important detail slip by. I love the basket to put the ground coffee in. However, after you are finished brewing, the basket is very difficult to get clean. It would be easier to clean if the entire lid to the basket could just be removed. I feel like it will be very easy to break the lid of the basket because you have to tap it pretty vigorously to get the coffee out before rinsing. This alone I believe should only take .5 stars away from this review. But, I can’t give a 4.5 star review, I can only give a four star review. Don’t get me wrong. All of the other functions of this maker are five star worthy. Including the water tank durability. It literally just pops into place and doesn’t feel cheap. The frother is top-quality. I don’t ever have to worry about the batteries running out or having to charge it. And I love that you can store both the ground coffee basket and the cake cup adapter basket in the machine. There is also a coffee scoop that attaches to the machine as well. This machine fits perfectly in the nook on my counter in my apartment. It’s ideal actually for an apartment or a small coffee area. The organization and the well thought out design of this machine is top-tier. I just have to mention the one negative aspect to those who might consider purchasing this machine.

Best Ninja Product I own!
This product just came today and I started using it right away. It is very space friendly and talk about ease of use! Everyone will be able to use this product as it is a breeze! As for the performance and taste of the coffee that comes from this machine, great tasting coffee. The milk frother is excellent! The K-pods work great in this machine. It takes seconds to heat the water and about a minute to brew you an 8 oz cup of coffee. I have a Ninja foodie, a Ninja Blender and now this coffee machine. The coffee machine is already the family favorite! Get this!
