The lower beam part of it was much brighter then a stock bulb for a tail light. The higher beam (brake light) part wasn't much brighter then the lower tail light beam. So people wouldn't see a noticeable difference to know that you're braking. I left a regular bulb in the other side, which showed that the Higher beam (brake light) part of this bulb wasn't actually dimmer then a stock light bulb.My goal here was to make the car brighter and more noticeable. They are bright LED bulbs, but not good for a brake light applicationHad to return them and try a different brand.

As another customer on here said, the lights for the tail lights are brighter and look great. However, when you hit the brakes, the difference isn't very noticeable. I did a side by side with one of these LED bulbs and the regular bulb. The LED is much brighter for the tail light, but both bulbs were about the same brightness for the brake light. I'll stick with the regular bulbs as difference in brightness is what you want when you hit your brakes. I will be returning.

These are about the third version of LED bulbs advertised to replace 1157 bulbs as taillights/turn indicators. They do not work in this application. They do not seat or lock in the fixture. OH!!! AND THESE PEOPLE WANT TO CHARGE YOU FOR RETURNING THEIR ITEMS THAT DO NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED.

these bulbs install correctly but they are absolutely not a replacement for 1157 once you go through all the work of installing them you try your tail lights and they work but guess what your brake light circuit does not work tried four different bulbs with the same result so the way these bulbs are wired are incorrect they only come on with the tail light circuit. DO NOT BUY.

They didn't fit the application as listed. I was traveling so it took me a couple of weeks to get to them and install them. Then they didn't fit,. Tried to return them and they said I was past the accepted return date. Threw them in the junk drawer in the shop. Someday I will probably come across an application they will work in.

Pretty much worthless. Shouldn't have bought these. They do not fit correctly, only the running light worked. The brake light would not light unless you physically held the bulb and pushed in and up. The stock 1157 GE bulb works and fits. This sise bulb has been out for over 60 years. You figure people in China would be able to make a lightbulb.

So, they light up bright and they WOULD work perfectly IF the contacts weren’t elongated and too wide apart. Placed them into my Sportster turn signals and would NOT LOCK into place. If you look at the contacts, you’ll see they are farther apart. I don’t understand why they won’t lock into place.

Love these, I bought a pack in red and clear and only needed two of each. Well worth the cash. I used them on a 75’ Honda 750
