slightly confussing and too large
i bought this obviously for my zero gauge wire to go through my firewall, i bought it and it was quite a bit larger than my wire was, i measured my wire and looked it up, my zero gauge wire does meet and American Wire Gauge standards, and it also seems like even if my insulation was as thick as i have ever seen, it would probably still be too large.also when i installed it into my vehicle, i was a little confused because there are 2 nut type ends, the rounded off one and one that looks just like a regular nut, and then a middle piece that does not move between them to separate them, i was a little confused because as far as i can see it isn't exactly necessary to have the middle piece because if you got the middle one through the firewall padding the other end nut will go through just as well if that's what it was designed for, i just ended up leaving the other nut type piece off because i didn't have the space to get my hand up there and screw it on.all things considered it works well and obviously gets rid of the exposed metal, but i also believe that a regular grommet from a home improvement store works just as well and is allot cheaper, the only real advantage of this is that it looks cool if its visible in your engine bay.

YOU NEED THIS!!! DONT CHEAP OUT!!!
Best firewall plug/grommet on the market! Its simple to use and water tight when using the correct gauge wire. Im into the car audio scene SPL all the way, Things shake vibrate and break all the time, this is a must have to stop your huge wire from chaffing the jacket off and making contact with the firwall its running thru lol. Safety 1st and Stinger knocked it way outta the park with this product, home run baby!!!

Good product....but is loose...
I hate to not give any product a 5 star but as the previous guy said above, it is loose around 0-gauge cable. I took a chance after reading the review, different cable sometimes run smaller or larger, depending on the maker. Anyways, the product was well made, feels great, but I will also be applying silicone to make this completely water proof.

I like this grommet
I like this grommet, sturdy plastic. The firewall goes between the gray nut and the black "fixed" nut( the middle one"So to prevent water from entering hole,Gray nut of course being inside cabin and other two nuts being in engine bay. After installing wire turn endpeice in engine bay clockwise I think it was and you feel it clamping down on wire, I do not know if this clamping can be loosened later.

Had to run to home dept for some other stuff during my project and found they had much better versions of this for $3
Way to expensive for some plastic. Had to run to home dept for some other stuff during my project and found they had much better versions of this for $3. The Home Depot version actually has a rubber or ring thing to push through to seal out the elements. This is just a simple tunnel with no weather sealing

super product
the installation was easy this was according to the person who installed them for me. great idea and did not need to have any caulk or anything for them.i would recommend this product to anyone and would change nothing about it. i have not used anything like it but the mechanic stated he was very impressed and would not need anything else for the installation of the product

Big and expensive
These do what they say, they provide a water tight fit. But boy are they biiig! It’s like double the size of the cable, and I have to drill a stupid big hole in order to fit these. I think I’ll stick to the cheap rubber grommets.

Ok quality but way to big
I did not end up using this grommet because it was way bigger than I had thought. There are several other ways to put a 1/0 gauge wire through a firewall. I even found some of the cheep plastic snap in clip type at Home Depot. Or you can usually go through where the factory wires go through just use caution. This item can have its place but for most cars I wouldn't use this.
