Notes for folks wanting to use this with Weber Genesis II
As indicated by some other reviews, this griddle works fine with Weber Genesis grills, but there are a couple caveats I'd point out. I have a the three burner plus sear burner model of Genesis II that Ace sells.1) The griddle will sit on top of the existing grates. using it in place of the grate doesn't work. The dimensions aren't right.2) The front to back length of the griddle is such that the closed lid will rub a teeny bit against it. It doesn't interfere with closing it, but it does bug me a little.3) There's a fair bit of distance between the griddle and the burners. I run it with the right most burner and the sear burner going full blast. This works fine, but it's something to be aware of. I imagine a dedicated griddle like a blackstone can get a hotter surface. If you look at Weber's griddle made for the Genesis, you'll see the cooking surface is dropped down.4) The drip escape opening directs grease to on top of the center burner causing flare ups. Not a huge deal, but sub-optimal.The griddle is otherwise a very nice and hefty piece of cast iron. In retrospect, maybe I should have gotten a Blackstone. It would have given more more cooking area. Cook all the bacon, while making pancakes and eggs at the same time. Would also take up more space on the deck.As summer heats up, it's definitely nice being able to cook breakfast outside and keep the kitchen coolers.

Webber quality
I am using it on a different model than it was made for and fits well despite using on a different model.Turns my Webber into a combo grill and griddle! I am using it for vegetables all the time now and love it. Easy to clean right on the grill with a stainless scraper and paper towel.

I Like It A Lot More Than I Expected!
I am a pretty good griller and I love this item. I bought a new large Weber Genesis Grill and decided to try to replace using a grill mat with a griddle. Except for fun, I do not expect to use this for breakfast items, etc. It is for dinner...shrimp, scallops, fish filets, thin & smaller veggies. Let's call it BBQing but without the grate. It fits exactly perfectly on the right side of the grill. I chose this over the Weber Creed griddle because it takes up 4 1/2 inches less of the grill. I was also thinking that being enamel coated would be better against rust (I made that up but after a month it hasn't rusted!) I want to keep it outside as part of the BBQ. Bringing it in & out becomes an additional process which I am trying to avoid. I bought plastic spatulas. This has genuinely upgraded my grilling and it's kind fun to use. This is great product!

Great companion to your Weber 600 series Summit Grill
After much confusion over which griddle would work with my new Summit 670 LP Grill I finally contacted Weber directly who told me that the 7404 was the correct product. Weber offered to sell it to me but as I'm an Amazon Prime member I could not pass up the "free" 2nd day shipping I could get direct from Amazon on this product. This is a very heavy porcelain enameled griddle that is reversible (you can see both sides of it in the product photo). I gave it a very light and fast wash with some dish soap and warm water and then dried it thoroughly. The first time I used the griddle I gave it a heavy spray of olive oil and let the grill get up to about 400 degrees. I have observed you will get very fast and thorough heat by applying direct burner heat under the griddle as well as turning on a different burner to medium temperature for ambient heat.Made some fish on this and it came out wonderfully (I used the textured side for the fish and there was no fall apart of the fish as is typical when being cooked directly on the stainless grates on the grill itself). I really look forward to using the smooth side of this for making breakfast items, fajitas and other things that will cook great on the grill.Clean up is a bit of a headache as you must take the heavy griddle off of the grill, bring it into your kitchen and clean it up. Arguably if the griddle is well seasoned you can just give it a quick wipe down with a cloth. So why only 4 stars? Well, the griddle fits the grill so tightly that you actually can't put it at either end of the grill, due to the bolts on the back of the grill pushing the griddle forward just a bit so you can't close the lid of the grill. You need to scoot the griddle a couple of inches over to clear this bolt if you want to close the lid (which you probably do).The other issue I have is that there is no good way to store this. It would have been nice to see something like a liner, etc, that could be used to encapsulate this so you could store it in the grill cart. If you just slide this in it will scratch up the finish on your grill, you don't want that! All in all this is a reasonable value for money paid, it's a great addition to your Summit 600 series and makes even more flexible cooking on the grill possible.

Better that the Lodge
I have used a two-sided Lodge griddle for years but needed more griddle surface, so I decided to get the Weber Griddle for our Summit S650.Three things I like about the Weber Griddle over the Lodge Cast Iron Chef Collection Rectangular Reversible Grill & Griddle - 20 in x 10 in#1 The Weber griddle surface is easier to clean and needs less TLC afterward than the Lodge#2 The Weber griddle has more usable surface area than the Lodge#3 The Weber griddle fits perfectly and the lid can be closed 100% regardless of griddle orientation. This results in better grill utilization and mult-zone temp control (the Lodge is a smidge too long to close the hood if you want to use it over dedicated burners for multi-zone temp control)The Lodge is the easier griddle to handle off the BBQ or when used for campfires.
