I already had the large rainbow stacker from this brand, so when I came across the semicircles, I was interested right away. The two sets can be used separately, but they complement one another well, so having both products opens up many more possibilities for imaginative play. I've had the stacker for several months now, and I anticipate that these pieces will also hold up well. Here's what I found.The semicircles are an exact color match for the rainbow, and the various colors are also arranged in the same order. The semicircles are cut thinner, so that one arch from the rainbow is roughly as thick as one and half semicircles. I quite like the thickness of the stacker pieces, and I imagined that this set would be the same way, but perhaps the two different types of blocks are normally cut differently, and I simply didn't know to expect that. The fact that they are thinner makes me wonder if they'd snap more easily under rough play conditions, and if that happens, I will update my review.From what I can tell for now, the semicircles are still well-made. All the pieces are evenly shaped and odor-free. The wood is sanded and stained, in such a way that the natural appearance and feel of the woodgrain remains apparent, and I love that. Rather than being sealed up inside a slick, painted shell, the wood here is still front and center, which is critical for maintaining a bit of 'tooth' or grip, allowing the pieces to hold together a bit through friction as your child builds and plays, rather than them sliding right past one another because they're too slippery to work as intended.I also think that the pattern of the wood looks beautiful, so from a purely aesthetic point of view, I prefer being able to see that, rather than it being hidden under a glossy layer of paint. For parents who are intentional about making sure their children interact more with natural materials, for either sensory or safety reasons, this is probably very much the kind of thing you're looking for. I personally don't automatically reject all plastic toys, but I do appreciate having good quality wooden items in my classroom or home.If you're looking for a wooden rainbow stacker and/or semicircles, I definitely recommend checking out this brand. These sets are more than I can readily spend, but are worth saving up for. The quality is definitely there. Your kids could probably pass these toys down to their children one day.

Beautiful rainbow set that is so fun for children to play with and be creative. It was the perfect size for my niece whom I bought it for and I know that she enjoys playing with it!

I was really excited to try this brand out because they have so many Waldorf/ Montessori aligned toys— and good ones are hard to come by!I ordered the large but the box said medium which wasn’t even an option, so I’m not sure if the medium is large or what’s going on— but I definitely expected it to be bigger.The stain is lovely and non-toxic, which is a must in my book! The shapes and size progression is nice, and the corners are rounded . They’re lightweight but feel fairly durable, will update if that becomes an issue.My only other issue is two of the pieces had rough spots on the edge that just hand bent been sanded down enough.Overall, at this price point I did expect them to have no rough spots and be larger.

This gives me the confidence to let my grandson play without worrying about harmful paint. I also really love the low tech aspect of this stacker toy. Even the littlest ones seem to favor high tech activities these days. I love to encourage imaginative play, and these rainbow discs allow just that. Great product!
