Why did I wait so long to get one of these?!!This is the best Jigsaw I have ever owned! Cuts very nicely and easily. Has a light and blows the saw dust away. Easy blade change. I love this thing!

I've used this several times now, works flawlessly. I have several Dewalt tools and they have all been of very good quality.

I had and old and cheap jig saw I bought in high school for a single project in 1972. ithe last 50 years I used it infrequently but enough to know it’s hard to change blades, it doesn’t have a blower so dust covers your line you are trying to follow, and it’s light weight feels cheap in the hand and nearly impossible to control. Its one speed only no variable speed. This new jig saw from DeWalt is a dream to use, the variable speed is a much needed feature, it has a blower so your line is easy to follow and it’s heavy enough that the saw is controllable and doesn’t feel like it’s out of control and by comparison the blade change is easy and fast. It’s like driving a new Mercedes in comparison to driving a 62 VW bug.this thing is a new tool to me and I’m used it more in the 3 weeks i’ve owned it then I used the other jig saw in 50 years. Now, to be clear, I’m not a cabinet maker or a custom home builder. I am a homeowner that built my own house and have extensive framing experience and have worked in all phases of home building. I know a good tool in my hands and am a good judge of quality. I could not be happier. This tool has enough power to cut through 1 inch oak and the precision while doing it of an old world time piece. I think this is a very good saw and look forward to using it more often. I think DeWalt built a very fine tool. I always strive to buy the best tool I can afford for the job at hand and used table saws from the kind you can pick up with two fingers all the way up to A 14 inch blade stationary sliding table saw, all cast iron that weighed in the 2500 lbs range. this is not that behemoth but for a jig saw this works spectacularly. Buy with confidence. .

My DeWalt impact driver used to be my favorite DeWalt tool. It still is for usefulness but ... THIS JIGSAW ROCKS! I would give it 6 stars if I could. I've always used a corded saw and always hated the cord. For some inexplicable reason it never occurred to me to get a cordless version. I finally decided to splurge and I doubt I'll ever use the corded saw again. There's much that I could talk about, but I'll just touch on the obvious. BTW, my neighbor was over the other day and he was laughing when he tried the saw. He couldn't believe how nice it is.From the moment you lay eyes on this and then pick it up for the first time you will feel a sense of joy settling into your soul. It's solid and built like a tank. There s not a control on this saw built cheaply. It's as if it were built for combat service. With the battery installed it feels well balanced and is easy to control.The motor is ridiculous. Fast. Powerful. Smooth. Quite loud at high speed, but without checking the numbers I'll bet this is twice the speed of my corded. The speed control is awesome. It's effortless to baby the blade at super slow and gently increase speed.The heavy duty base has a positive locking detent at 0 degrees and a large, heavy duty lever keeps it securely locked at other angles.The quick release is another example of impressive engineering. Imagine working a latch that meets minimum requirements. Now imagine if they bolstered the weight and thickness of the parts by ten. It's just a pleasure to operate.I hadn't realized that they made jig saws with a dust blower. That is just awesome. No more hunched over, blowing with my mouth as I move along!UPDATE:I've used this saw countless times now, in the shop (convenience of no plug) and in my on-going kitchen renovation. I still LOVE this saw! I make good use of the four oscillating settings, depending on rip versus cross cutting, as well as the desired quality of cut. It has excellent speed control - nay, perfect speed control. I haven't used my corded saw since buying this.

Bought this jigsaw during Amazon Spring deals from MajorSavings2You. Apparently, vendor sold it too cheap. Supposed to be 2 days delivery. I immediately received a notice that shipping was delayed due to saw being out of stock. Was now 2 weeks later delivery. After 2 weeks got another notice that it was delayed another 2 weeks. Was given an option to cancel the order and get a full refund. Checking online the saw was still available for 2 days delivery but at $50 higher price. I selected to wait for the delivery. After 2 weeks got another notice that it was delayed another 2 weeks and I should probably cancel and take the refund. Elected to wait, mainly to see how long they were going to delay and try to get me to cancel. Finally delivered 8 weeks after I bought it. Saw is good quality and works great. Would not recommend the vendor for anything and will never buy from them again.

This is a high quality jigsaw at a good price.

Power and accuracy good. Battery life very good. Size is ad expected. Cut quality good.
