Easy to use but hard to read under the sun
Easy to setup and to use. Seem to be accurate. A little bit too bulky to carry . And hard to read the numbers under the sun.

Immediate feedback - a MUST for speed training
I am blown away by how excellent this radar swing speed monitor is. It is so simple to set up and use. Rypstick recommends placing it in front of the club path for speed measurement. The display is big and clear, and it calls out the speed loudly. It is very accurate. I have also placed it a few inches away next to the ball when I am actually hitting balls. I tried that placement mainly because I didn't want to chance hitting the radar with an errant ball and destroying it. To my pleasant surprise, I have discovered that it reads the swing speed just as accurately in that placement as the recommended. It is winter in Chicagoland meaning it is off-season and training season. I have started speed training with the Stack trainer. Since using this radar, I have come to the conclusion that a swing speed radar is one of the best, if not the best, golf improvement equipment anyone working to get better at golf can invest in. It is invaluable in letting you know whether what you are doing is increasing or killing speed. Without that feedback, it is difficult to determine whether your swing is actually getting faster. It is perfect for my indoor range set up as well as outdoor practice facility. It is lightweight and very portable. I am glad that I found it before I spent a lot of time on non-productive practice.

Does what it says
Reads fairly close to my SkyTrak. Don’t fully understand the use without a rypstik.

Golf swing speed radar
This is a swing speed radar for golf. At the course I usually play they have online swing and distance computers at each station of the range and this seems to always be off compared to the computer. The amount of difference varies so I cannot tell how much of a difference it is. With that said, it's in the general ballpark and you can at least get an understanding of how your speed changes while practicing. One downside is this is pretty big and a bit awkward to carry around. It also needs batteries

Golf Radar Swing Monitor
I'm using this golf radar swing monitor for my own personal use when at home practicing for big events. The speed measured by the radar does not seem to always to accurate. I feel that the price is a little higher than have expected for the quality. The material used in the design is lightweight and durable. It is simple to use and easy to setup. I am not all that satisfied with the complete functionality of the device.

Simple Device but does what it says
I have several Rypstick products and now I am trying this out. Its simple speed measuring device. It doesn't measure ball speed, angles and all that other stuff. Miles per hour only. Considering it is a fraction of the cost of the full scale launch monitors, it is a useful device for the cost. After all what you are trying to do is improve your swing speed. All the other stuff is secondary. Using this in tandem with your rypstick will give you accurate speed numbers so you can chart your progress. The monitor itself is pretty large for better or worse - the size of a thick book. It takes 5 batteries. The display is large and easy to ready. It will work with your rypstick and with a regular club, with or without hitting a golf ball. But you are measuring the speed of the club going thru frame, not the speed of the ball. The rypstick btw is a good speed-gaining trainer. I've used it for over a year, and like it for training and warming up before rounds. In general I've been happy with rypstick products. They are always well-made and they have good customer service. It's a small company and they are responsive. So give this a whirl if you are trying to measure MpH, but don't want to spring for a full-on launch monitor.

Excellent basic radar
I bought this to use over the winter with speed sticks to try to get my clubhead speed back to where it was in my younger days. It gives accurate and immediate feedback on swing speed with either a golf club or speed stick. It has a large readout and will give audible feedback if chosen. The only downside is that this device is larger than most personal radars and is not very portable. It also requires AA batteries. For a home setup it is perfect as it is easy to set up and use.Unlike other radars, you set this up in front of the golfer on the intended path. At first I was concerned that I would hit it with the driver. However, just move 3-4 feet behind it and swing away. It has never failed to capture the speed of the club. This is not a launch monitor and will only give feedback on swing. But for the price it is a good tool to have.
