And he wants an industrial one.I got this to help with humidity in my basement laundry area, and it’s doing the job well. The setup was straightforward, and the included drain hose makes it easy to run continuously without needing to empty a tank. A bit pricey, but if you’ve got a damp area under the house or in the basement, it’s worth it for peace of mind.

I bought this to lower the humidity in my 1400 sq ft basement. I purchase in September 2023 and it has worked perfectly. I had a sturdy table built for it so I could drain it into the washing machine discharge pipe. In April of 2025 (19 months of daily use) I noticed the filter was icing up. I cleaned it and it still iced up. The dehumidifier was still working, but had ice accumulated on the filter.I contacted Abestorm and they suggested a new filter and sent one that day free of charge! The new filter did not prevent the ice buildup so they requested I send the unit in for repairs. I did have to pay for shipping, but the company has a FIVE year warranty for their dehumidifiers.It was extremely pleasant and simple communicating back and forth with Abestorm Customer service. I am impressed with their company, service, and products.If you need a well made dehumidifier I recommend Abestorm.
