without this 90 degrees, it is nearly impossible to USE most cell phones, while plugged in. And, eventually, you will likely break the wire, where it enters the plug.There is one downside: When you forget to unplug the device and walk away, the 90 degrees will usually NOT easily pull the plug out of the device. The good news is, that usually, the plug itself will try to straighten itself to at least 45 degrees, and then pull out of the device. This will likely destroy or damage the plug on the cable. This however, will prevent at much of the strain on the device's internal plug.Just try to make sure you unplug before walking away, and these are much better than the straight plugs for everyday use. Also, shorten the cable if you don't use all of the 10', by tying off part of the cable.I'll add one often overlooked fact: That 90 degree plug has a CIRCUIT BOARD inside. So, if sometimes the device is not working, or is slower than it should be, try different combinations of power bricks or devices. It took me a while to realize that all of these USB "C" plugs are NOT straight pass through wires, and have "little computers" inside each wire, with sometimes unpredictable results.
