Tolken's The Fellowship of the Ring is a great read. Tolken brings a depth of detail to his writing rarely found. He paints a vivid picture of middle earth while never boring the reader.

I am so glad I finally decided to reread The Lord of the Rings now that I have a deeper understanding for the craft of writing and the topics dealt with than when I read it the first time at eleven years old. Tolkien absolutely deserves his place as one of the greatest fantasy writers of all time. I could never put into words how much his books mean to me and the awe I have for the talent he was given. Not only did Tolkien manage to write a novel so rich with magnificent world building and meaningful themes but the characters he created are some of the most noble I ever read about. Strong and mighty men who grieve and care deeply. Friendships held in the highest honor. It is so much more than a work of fiction and I'll treasure all its wisdom for as long as I live.

Book came with the outer sleeve filthy and dirty. Very disappointed

Quality hardcover edition, ribbon bookmark, Tolkien’s original drawings, nice sized font, easy on the eyes. Feels really good in your hand, good quality paper. Love this book, so happy to find a beautiful hardcover edition of this beloved story to enjoy for years to come! I purchased the full series of books in this edition.
