Convenient, easy to use for protecting trees from deer and other creatures.

The deer have not rubbed on one tree that has this guard on it. I think they look nice too! 5 stars!

I just put these around five young trees in the backyard. The zip ties worked ok. The mesh needs to be wrapped around several times to fit a 2" diameter trunk. The mesh needs to be anchored into the ground by something. A windy wintry storm would spin these around and rub the bark. I made some wire U-shaped anchors and pushed them into the ground on three sides of each mesh to hold them still against the wind. We shall see how this idea holds up over the winter. I do like this product better than the plastic drain piping. The mesh allows air flow around the trunk and will be easier to remove when the time comes.

Material was either low strength or mesh was not thick enough. Deer ripped guard off tree - with mesh tearing out of zip ties. Not something to go cheap on if you care about your tree - better to get something substantial either buy local or pay shipping for properly designed product.

Has done a great job at keeping the neighborhood cats at bay. My trees are very happy to not be a scratching post anymore.
