I've used a Phillips trimmer before and you can feel the difference. It's well built, solid and sturdy, it's a pity it can't withstand water. It's not heavy, it's easy to hold so weight is well distributed. Chrome material can get scratched and show evidence of long term use, but this is common, charger is quite small and doesn't take up much space. I was impressed by fast charging speed and the battery life, it also has a mode to lock power on during travel.Its strongest point is the quality of the cut because you can feel the precision I was impressed with the smooth and tidy shave, also the machine running noise is not loud, I have used other trimmers that got that problem and it is annoying close to the ear. It also comes with a lot of attachments that are easy to install, even nose trimmer and it's an all in one machine because it can even be used for hair.I like that it comes in a storage bag where all the attachments fit and can easily be taken on a trip. However, I would have liked it to include more guides for beard longer shaves.

Great trimmer with a very powerful motor with sharp blades to catch the everything and great attachments included. Amazing battery life.Only 1 negative - At this price it should have a body groomer included!

It's good and I would buy it again

I don’t usually write reviews, but I really wanted to write this one. The reason is that this product disappointed me so much, and I was so upset about the money and time I wasted that I figured I should spend a little more time to write this review.Let’s start from the beginning.I bought the Wahl Model 9864SS with the grooming kit. Before buying it, I watched a lot of reviews, read various articles, and looked at different product feedback. Most of the reviews said it was a good product, and some influencers even did reviews claiming it was great, and I believed them (now I’m thinking they were probably paid to promote it). So, I spent a lot of time picking a trimmer, I didn’t want to skimp on money—I wanted to buy a quality product, and I relied on online reviews and YouTube videos. That turned out to be a mistake.I used this product—or, to be more accurate, I tried to use it—for about a year. During that time, the motor got stuck three times, and I had to fix it myself. It didn’t get stuck because the motor is bad, but because this trimmer has almost no water resistance. I want to point out that I never submerged it in water, I just rinsed the blade under running water, and that was enough for water to get inside the device.I took it apart so you can see what it’s made of. The first time I took it apart, I was cursing. What did I pay over $90 for!? There’s no water resistance in this device at all. The motor is just the cheapest Chinese junk you can find. Yes, they wrapped it all up in a nice shiny package, but once you take it off, you’re left with the cheapest components possible, plus the complete lack of any water resistance. The manufacturer expects me to always clean it dry using the brushes that come with it.When you first hold this device, it feels heavy and “premium,” and you think it’s a great product with quality parts, but when I removed the metal cover, I discovered that it’s just a chunk of cheap plastic.There are a few positives, though—the accessories are nice, the case is pretty, and it comes with many attachments, some of which I did use. The blade isn’t the worst, but it’s definitely not great either. By the end of the first and last year of use, it had become quite dull, even though I used it about once a week.I also want to note the absolutely ugly and loud charger. The entire progressive world has long been using USB-C, but not in this product, it uses some kind of idiotic charger.This purchase disappointed me like no other. I regret the time I spent searching for a good product, and I feel like I was deceived. This product is not worth $90 or more. Out of the entire set, I only kept the case, and I’ll use it for something else. Everything else went straight into the trash.I definitely don’t recommend this product, and I won’t be buying anything from Wahl again.

I use it as my main trimming for long beard and head (stubble). It does the job amazingly. I wish it came at a lower price. I am on my third version now and its the best Ive had by far.
