Love! Great body image book!
Great book for teaching body image to kids. I used it to do a presentation to 6-8 year old girl scouts, after the story we cut out our own shapes and wrote our individual characteristics on the shapes and shared with the group. Also my 3 year old enjoys reading it, not sure if she gets the full concept.

Good, basic book
This is a good, basic book with messages about body image, eating well and exercising to stay healthy. I bought this book for my five year old daughter. I expected a little more content so I didn't give it the highest rating. But, it does provide a good basis for reminding my daughter, when she brings things up, that whatever shape and size we are is the perfect one for us and it doesn't matter if someone is different, taller or shorter, etc.

A positive resource for all children
This book can help children feel better about their bodies and other qualities that make them different from others. It can also assist them in being more accepting of others.

Wish I had this when I was young....
I bought this book for my 3 year old daughter. I want her to love herself no matter what size or shape she is. I have struggled with loving myself all of my life. I want her to be happy and positive, not constantly worrying about how people look at her.

Well meaning but very poorly written. The rhymes don't scan, the grammar is poor. The book posits questions that are more likely to raise unnecessary questions in a child's head than to answer them. "She doesn't fret about her looks because she's beautiful inside" - seriously? Why should a 3 - 8 year old be fretting about her looks or consoling herself with the idea that she's beautiful on the inside? And the awful phrase "with confidence abound" is just shockingly poor grammar and literally makes no sense. Additionally this short, flimsy book costs as much as a much more sturdy and much more professionally written book. I feel like the author thought the writing wouldn't matter because it's for little children, but in fact when there is only very little writing in a book the quality of it is paramount. I love the sentiment the book attempts to convey, but it is spoiled by the dreadful writing.
