I bought this mic mainly for office calls and gaming on my iPad. Before this, my colleagues could barely hear me over the construction noise and traffic outside, since my place is near a main road. I wanted a good cardioid mic that could block out background sounds, and this one does that really well. Got the mic and arm combo for under 5k during a sale, and I was honestly surprised by how much background noise it removed. My voice came through clearly, and all the annoying noises were gone. The only issue is that I have to keep the mic pretty close to my mouth. If I move it away, the volume drops a lot and the quality sounds worse than my phone mic. Since it’s a top-address mic, it always needs to be near my face. That’s fine for gaming, but looks odd during office calls. Maybe a better arm or some gain tweaking can fix it, but turning up the gain adds a bit of white noise, especially when recording through the iPad. Other than that, it works great with OBS, Meet, and Teams. If you don’t mind keeping the mic close, it’s one of the best options in this price range.
