Outstanding EDC Knife - The OKNIFE Otacle U1 Exceeds Expectations
I’ve been carrying the OKNIFE Otacle U1 for about three months now, and I’m genuinely impressed with this folding utility knife. It has quickly become my go-to EDC tool, and here’s why I think it deserves five stars. The first thing you notice when you pick up the Otacle U1 is the solid construction. The aluminum handle feels substantial without being heavy, and the fit and finish are excellent. There’s no blade play whatsoever, and the tolerances are tight. The ergonomics are well thought out, with the handle providing a comfortable grip for extended use. The pocket clip is positioned perfectly and has just the right amount of tension to keep the knife secure without making it difficult to remove. The D2 steel blade holds an edge remarkably well. I’ve used this knife for everything from opening packages to breaking down cardboard boxes, cutting rope, and general utility tasks around the house and workshop. Even after weeks of use, the blade remains sharp enough for clean cuts. When it does need sharpening, the D2 steel responds well and takes a nice edge. The flipper mechanism is smooth and satisfying. After a short break-in period, the knife deploys with a crisp action that feels reliable every time. The liner lock engages solidly and inspires confidence during use. I’ve never had any concerns about the blade closing unexpectedly, even during harder cutting tasks. The ingenious utility blade holder feature sets this knife apart from standard folders. Being able to swap in a fresh utility blade for particularly tough or messy jobs is incredibly convenient. This dual functionality means I’m carrying essentially two tools in one compact package. For the price point, the OKNIFE Otacle U1 delivers exceptional value. The quality of materials and construction rivals knives that cost significantly more. It’s clear that OKNIFE put serious thought into creating a practical, well-made tool rather than just another budget folder. The OKNIFE Otacle U1 has earned a permanent spot in my pocket. It’s reliable, well-made, comfortable to use, and genuinely practical for everyday tasks. Whether you’re looking for your first quality folding knife or adding to an existing collection, I highly recommend giving the Otacle U1 serious consideration. You won’t be disappointed.

JUST GET ONE!!!
This is the coolest utility knife I’ve ever had. I was sold immediately when I saw they came out with this in the green micarta scales. It’s an awesome looking knife. It’s a smaller knife and fits perfectly in the 5th coin pocket on pants. It fits very well in the hand especially for someone like me with small hands. It’s very functional especially since they designed it to give you access to almost all of the cutting edge. They give you some parachord and a multitool in the box. The parachord is the perfect amount to make a snake knot lanyard which I recommend doing to help pull the knife out of the pocket because without it sometimes it could be a little difficult. I highly recommend keeping the multitool with you when carrying the knife. I keep mine on my keychain. The tool has a cutout that is a wrench for tightening and loosening the blade retention screw. You can use your fingers if you wanted but with the tool you can tighten it enough to where it will not back out over time with use. I have spent hours flicking open and closing the knife and have had no issues with the screw backing out. The knife is running on ball bearings so it’s very smooth and snappy when opening and closing which also makes it fidget friendly. I have no negative things to say about this product. Just get you one. It’s 100% worth every penny.

Best EDC box opener!
This is a great little tool! I used it daily to open packages, and to break down boxes for recycling, as well as opening many other things like a stubborn package of bacon this evening. It clips into a pocket, and slides out and open instantly with the handy ambidextrous thumb knobs, and then one handed closes with the ambi slide lock and slips back into the pocket. I stuck a small braided paracord lanyard on it to make that even quicker. I recently moved into a new house, and of course ordered umpteen packages of furnishings and stuff needed. But early in that process of getting settled in, I misplaced this little tool, so I immediately ordered a second one! A few days later, my daughter found it at the bottom of a stack of cardboard boxes I had been breaking down! What a relief! So now I have two, in case I misplace it again! Pros:: -small, fits hand and pocket easily -lightweight -rapid deployment for assaulting endless amazon boxes -blade quickly replaced with one small thumb screw -Looks cool with the CF scales! Cons: -so small it’s easy to misplace! I’ve always like olight’s flashlights—well engineered and reliable. Now their well-designed other EDC gear is another affordable daily pleasure.

Excellent for the price
The pivot is strange. It's simultaneously crunchy, and very free turning. There's no resistance to it swinging around at all, but it does not feel smooth. The screw to lock the blade down is tough to get tight enough by hand, I use small pliers. The spine being thicker than the blade is unavoidable for a utility blade holder like this, and it does have the drawback that the spine can snag a bit when cutting through sheets (like cardboard) Those are my only gripes. Other than that, it's a solid little inexpensive edc knife. There's very little to no blade play when locked. It's very easy to operate one-handed. Exposing so much of a utility blade is an excellent idea and works great. It's thin and light. Definitely recommended.

It’s very fun, great snappy action. Axis lock is good and can be easily manipulated with one hand. My only downside is it is about as small as you could make this. I have quite large hands and would prefer a little extra length in the handle but I think for the vast majority of people this will very comfortable. All good quality parts, appears to be quite durable. Obviously going to be as sharp as the blade you keep in it, which thankfully is quite easy to change. I’d recommend this over the Civivi elementum utility as there is no Torx bit required to change the blade.

Me grado el peso y la forma de abrir... pero no me gustó el accesorio por que viene suelto y no hay forma de llevarlos juntos, tuve que amarrarlo con la cuerda que viene incluida ya que sino se me va a perder

This knife has exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The Pink Sprinkle finish is bloody awesome, the pink is really solid the whole way through, the sprinkles look great, but I'm not sure if they go through the g10 layers as well, or are just screen printed on (This coming from a bloke who also edc's a leatherman MUT). The mechanism is second to none, I was expecting some side wiggle, but no, its really solid and the pivot mechanism is smooth (and getting smoother with use) The blade utilization size is also really useful (also a bit scary whilst getting used to it, compared to other smaller utility blades, whilst flicking open/closed) Overall my #1 favourite knife at the moment, the only negatives I can find so far (daily use in mechanical retail cutting everything) are that the blade retention system doesnt allow for some of the "unique" utility blade designs, like the twin seatbelt-cutter style blades and some of the longer hook blades, simply by design they wont work, as this knife uses a friction plate retention, with the blade sandwiched between either plate, compared with most others that solely use the retention indents at the top of the blades. But overall a top tier utility knife, highly reccomend to anyone.

These are incredible value, they are built so well, super easy to use one handed and they just look awesome! Love it as a edc tool and no need to sharpen blades, just replace them for cents, so good. P.s everything Olight and Oknife I have found has incredible fit and finish for the price, just destroys the competition.

As an American living in Australia, I don't get to buy the stars and stripes models from Olights Australia store, but I can off Amazon! Aside from that it's one of the finest utility knives I own, it's too hard to go back to non-ball bearing knives and I like that more of the blade is exposed. More wasteful, but more usable blade. Tool-less blade change is welcomed too
