Apple health compatible
I’ve decided to take control of my lifestyle now and invest in a better blood glucose monitor. (Can’t say invest really as it really is as cheap as a big standard reader)This is a Bluetooth enabled device that’s a breeze to use. Just see it up using the app on the AppStore and it’ll then sync all data to the app when you switch off the device. The results are then imported automatically to the health app on your iPhone.Excellent item.Honestly can’t praise this enough. The price is perfect and what it can do really helps you keep track of your health.

Very good product
Easy to set up, once the app is installed on your phone, the results are automatically transferred from the nexus to the phone. I have been using other brands that are cheaper, but they was giving inaccurate readings and causing me problems. Since I’ve had this nexus unit, all the results are confirmed by doing two tests within 30 seconds of each other and are identical results and from different finger samples. Always worth paying that little extra.

Works as expected but only tests blood glucose.
The instructions are now fairly extensive - possibly prompted by previous customer complaints. These instructions now include setting up Bluetooth that works fine in IOS & the GlucoRx Voyager app.You can set time alarms & low & high reading limits. This kit comes with only 10 test strips & lances, one you need to use for the supplied test solution that should make this device more accurate than some. Make sure you obtain a large enough blood sample - I wasted 2 strips by not getting enough. My only real criticism is not being able to take a reading without it being logged as might be useful for a guest. The On/Off button lights up red for readings above the set upper limit & the top strip surround lights up when a test strip is inserted. You can choose between a test reading, general & before or after eating. One BT is set up, a small blue LED lights up after the last reading & the device is off - it flashes until the Voyager app is set to pull off a reading. This is compatible with Apple Health. This device seems solid & better made than many - recommended.

Gluco Rx Nexus Blue
I am a type-2 diabetic who like many others are taking measurements despite my surgery not offering the option on nhs and for some reason do not believe I should be testing despite n riding to in order to keep bloody sugars good via diet. That said the low carbohydrate program says to always discuss your needs wih diabetic nurse and doctors - and ‘suggests’ that you measure.. how else are you to know how foods affect you - everyone is different. That said the company make many meters and the blue is a Bluetooth enabled meter that when you use with an iphone works great.. There are two apps that are targeted at GlucoRx meters one is voyager which is newer and can synchronise via Bluetooth - you need to power the meter ‘down’ from the history screen and the blue light starts flashing - and you then select sync on app and the actual meter (as it can handle many) and it bout readings - the meter languages get goes constant blur the data is taken in and then meter powers down. This app also works with GlucoRx CGM Aidex. The second app is the GlucoRx blue which is by same company this one when open and you have it meter not Bluetooth mode automatically syncs the data and the meter operates same as with the voyager - switching off when the c change has completed. As far accuracy - I think it’s hard to say with any meter and I have tried comparing results with other meters at same time - and none of them will give exactly same reading. Even the calibration test liquid and the value it says the new strips should match is actually quite wide. I think it is like weighing scales stick with one and see the trends as opposed to expecting exact readings.I believe that many NHS practices use this model. The other one that is still sold and used is the GlucoRx nexus - the strips are the same but you have to approach GlucoRx for a usb lead time f you want to sync but believe their sync app works mainly on windows (I cannot comment as I am a mac user)..I don’t think It’s because it is an old model but maybe Bluetooth is not necessary to some - for me it’s great.I think if you use CGM that again readings with meters are not expected to be same as the measurements are via body fluids under surface and will differ to finger pricks.. Even with meters there are different types f measurement techniques HCT etc..I’d say just buy the one you can afford and the strips do have different price ranges and be consistent… It probably is not an exact science…

Brilliant Reliable Device
Excellent quality and fantastic price. It is a well made device and works exceptionally on the iPhone, has simple and effective integration into Apples Health app, which for me was important. Compared to other “smart” devices it’s fantastic value.

Easy to use
For anyone wondering if they should test even though they’ve been told no need to this is ideal. Connects fairly easily by Bluetooth the first time and straight forward after that. Stores your readings on the device and more via the app and Bluetooth connection. Everything you need to get you started
