Great foe get coverage
Love the shinning color and love the way it lasts. I recommend this product if you have alot of grey hair and it last a good long time. I even have it as sent to me once every 3 weeks because it is that good. For the price it is what is expected. Love it

Makes your hair VERY shiny! Especially the conditioner.
Before I used 3 boxes of this dye on my hair, my hair was purple (semi permanent only). I tried to wash out as much of the purple as possible because I'm not a hair expert and I was afraid of the purple interfering with this dye. I got most of it out, then used this dye on my day old hair. With no fancy brush. Just the gloves. Color wise, I tried to look up reviews of how this came out on people because the name has 'blue' in it and I personally was looking for a product that gives my hair a blue sheen in the sunlight. I used this on bleached hair and the color turned out to be the blackest black I have ever seen; EXTREMELY shiny. But no obvious blue. In the sunlight, if you try looking for the blue tones, you'll see it in the dark part of your hair; as in not a blue glow or a blue that comes with light reflection. To make my weird sentence less complicated, imagine this: When you're in the sun and you look down at your hair, there will be two parts. One part is the shiny part that reflects the sunlight. The other part is the part that does not catch the sunlight. The part that is blue is the part that does not catch the sunlight. It's not what I was personally trying to achieve but it still is beautiful. If you want to know whether this color looks natural, this is something that happened to me that proved it doesn't look like natural black hair:I'm a tan Asian girl with natural black hair already, and if people saw me they'd assume that is my natural color. But I was at the zoo one day in the sunlight, and a girl came up to me and told me that my hair color looks so nice on me. I think that's proof enough to me that this black is more like a faux wig black then a natural black. But I happen to love that so I'll take it!The dye bleeds only very slightly, if at all. I haven't experienced any fading so far either. If I start to see my bleached strands coming through, I'll update this review to state so. But I trust the quality of this black dye, and I think it's permanent. I think. I'm not exactly sure cause no one has said it and the box didn't either. But uh, instinct?

Misconception Corrected
Starting with 4 stars because I just used this for the first time this past weekend. The first thing I noticed was the need to shake up the mixture pretty good which isn't a bad thing, and is mentioned in the instructions. After vigorous shaking for about a minute, the consistency was a lovely gel or cream like which was nice. I also shook it up during the application process. The next thing I noticed was applying the mixture was super smooth and after about 1 minute, the color looked awesome! This is before it even set or was washed. Other brands do not show the color until it was washed and dry (at least from my experience). Husband noticed this also and was surprised as well. The directions point out leaving it on for up to 45 minutes, especially for resistant grays so I left it on the full 45 minutes. Not sure if I have resistant gray or not though there are a couple with the gray color (sigh). I thought perhaps 45 minutes might help with keeping the color as long as possible. After 45 minutes, I rinsed well and used the included conditioner which was also surprising. The texture of my hair seemed really nice and the color was awesome! I love a deep, rich dark black and have had trouble with other so-called black in the past. After it was air dried, my hair looked super shiny and felt good. The next morning, I showered before work as usual and used the color seal conditioner one more time. It is supposed to be once a week but I figure after a good shampoo lather (I use L'Anza Healing Color Care) the first time, it might be a good idea to condition with the sealer again. The biggest difference I noticed unlike other brands, was in the lather, there was no residual color which tends to stain towels or the walls/floor of the shower. After blow drying with the usual products (some gel, silk protein and a spritz of Tigi Frisky), my hair color looked pretty spectacular though not quite as shiny. My hair tends to be pretty dry, probably because of the years of coloring, though I will say that it did look a little better. Not sure if there are blue highlights yet but frankly, I don't care. I wanted a deep, rich, dark black that might last a while. So far, this color fits exactly that requirement with the added bonus of a little shine. My hair doesn't hold color for very long so we will see if this will last 8 weeks or so. If it does, I will change this to a 5 star and suggest everyone switch it up. I do have to mention the smell as a side note. For myself, the scent seemed mild and better than others though husband thought it was a little strong. Not unbearable, just a little strong. Thanks to Amazon for making this available in bulk!Update 04/25/2013: Still pretty happy with the color and love the conditioner which I am still using. However, the color is not as rich anymore and the roots are just starting to look like they might need a touch up pretty soon. Maybe not right away but soon. Not too bad for 4 weeks and I do think it has done better than other brands but I highly doubt this will last the full 8 weeks. It does still look pretty good and I will definitely be using again. I always use a color safe shampoo/conditioner (L'Anza, Belegenza, etc) and the included conditioner which may help so until someone invents the "automatic hair color injector", I will stick to this one. hahaUpdate 05/05/2013: Decided to go ahead and color today. In general, the color held somewhat but I noticed some of the gray starting to appear again and the roots are definitely showing some hint of my original brown. I might have been able to go another week but the color is not as vibrant or lush either. Overall, love the texture and initial color. Product is pretty good but permanent it isn't unless this just happens to be one of those instances where my particular kind of hair doesn't hold it well.

Ol Reliable🥰
I never write reviews for absolutely anything, good or bad. BUT let me tell you about this blue black Clairol dye💛 I naturally have dark brown hair but felt black always suited me better and I've tried other black hair dye over the years but nothing will top this product. I have been using this dye on and off for about 2 years now and always go back to it. I hadn't done it in a while and forgot just how shiny, smooth, and clean my hair feels after. I've used others including loreal, fox, and garnier. I feel like Clairol always lasts longer and its just 10x better especially for the price. For reference I have long fine hair that goes to my butt, this dye doesn't have a super strong chemical smell and actually smells very good once done. It comes with one of my favorite conditioners that I've actually used when my hair wasn't even colored anymore. If they ever discontinue this product I may simply pass away💔

My go-to hair dye
I use this product each time I dye my hair. It provides the perfect color, doesn’t dry my hair, and does not stain my skin.
