A good value for money temperature probe, which I bought on 4-Apr-2019.Until today (13-Sep-2019) when opening the probe to use it, the metal probe just broke away from the plastic rotating part.I have sent supplier a message for a replacement. Let’s wait and see what happens.Update:It’s now 2-Oct-2019 and I have heard nothing, so I have escalated this to Amazon customer services.Update: refund received 3-Oct-2019

As a retired chef, I like quality kitchen equipment. I grew disillusioned with the poor quality of temperature probes, which usually failed after a short time, so decided to spend a bit more and hope for a better product. To date I'm very happy. The build quality is good and it functions well. The backlight is a great feature making it easy to read in all light conditions. The auto-shutoff ensure you don't flatten the battery when you forget to close it. I'm happy to recommend it.

An accurate food thermometer, which turns on and off automatically when the probe is extended and retracted. It would benefit from the probe being spring loaded for easier extension.Also, it defaults to Fahrenheit and this setting cannot be changed. So every time you use it you have to change it Celsius. Great if you live in America; less so for the rest of the world.

This product is accurate and easy to use, the price is a bit expensive.

Took a little while to arrive, but worth the wait , excellent device, well worth the money , would buy again
