Best sauce around

my husband got this as a gift for Christmas. He really enjoys hot sauce and this was a nice treat. He uses it on to spot everything we will be getting more of the Truff sauce.

Delicious! My husband loves cooking and anything spicy, so when I saw these, I had to get them to try. They are "fancy" enough to be an impressive gift, especially with the really nice display box, but are also just perfect for adding to daily meals. The heat level is not excessive. These are absolutely for people who actually appreciate the flavor of hot sauce, not just the heat for heat sake. The truffle is subtle and gives a really pleasant umami and body to the experience. I have added them to chili, tacos, hot wings, and other recipes, and have used them as a finishing touch as well.

TRUFF Holiday Gift Set I've never had this TRUFF sauce before. I like truffles, and that's good, because the truffles are very apparent. My wife doesn't like truffles - and won't be consuming any of this hot sauce. (Zero stars from her - it's a matter of taste.) So... let's assume you like truffles! For both the Habenero (red) and the Jalapeno (green) the truffle aroma is the first thing that hits you. Taste-wise, the truffle leads, and other flavors follow. This truffle flavor is unusual in a hot sauce, and lends a lot of depth and complexity... but it definitely isn't subtle. The Habenero is fairly hot. Not scorching, but it definitely has a kick. The truffles hit you first, followed by the heat and spice flavors. The sauce is thicker than many hot sauces - about half way between tabasco and catsup. There's a lot going on in the taste. A lot of habenero sauces are all about heat. But this is about richness and depth. The Jalapeno is quite mild. There's the truffle flavor, but that's followed by lime, and mild pepper. Like the habenero, it's got a bit of thickness to the sauce, matching the rich flavor. Personally, I like the Habenero/Red better. I think the truffle flavor is more suited to the habenero than to the tang of the lime. It comes in a nice gift box. I'm knocking it down one star though because of the price. I was in Costco earlier this week and I was surprised to see a 4-pack of TRUFF sauces which included these 2 exact bottles (same size) AND had 2 additional types (4 bottles total) - and it was all at a significantly lower price.
