Best Budget Speakers Ive tried
The aura a40 has amazing quality sound as well as general range with the EQ settings. although the base seemed small at first it makes up for it in power and actually shakes the sofa and the rear support speakers are also miles ahead compared to the Poseidon D60s

Great customer service, Solid build, but not quite the right fit for me
I purchased the Aura A40 soundbar expecting a traditional 7.1 setup with a dedicated centre speaker. While the system wasn’t quite what I was looking for, it does offer excellent value for its price of £130.I purchased the Aura A40 soundbar to improve our family movie nights, upgrading from using two Alexa speakers. When the A40 was installed, the overall sound quality was much better, deeper bass, cleaner sound and more volume. However, I felt the stereo effect wasn't there, this was when i realised that the centre speaker is a soundbar that emits both the left and right channels alongside the centre channel. So it wasn't exactly what I wanted. Here’s how I’d rate the individual components:Build quality: 4.5/5 – Solid and well-made, could do with a HDMI port.Customer service: 5/5 – Emily and the ULTIMEA team were incredibly helpful, responsive, and truly care about their products, customers and brand.L & R speakers: 3/5 – Decent for their size.Surround speakers: 3.0/5 – Good sound but they replicate the main channels, which wasn’t ideal for me.Centre speaker: 4/5 – Clear and powerful, but slightly louder than the other channels.Subwoofer: 4/5 – Delivers solid bass. After a firmware update provided by ULTIMEA, there were improvements to the system, including better left and right channel separation and louder surround speakers. While this system didn’t fully align with my expectations, I’m impressed with ULTIMEA as a brand. Their D60 Atmos system looks like it may be a better fit for me, as the L & R speakers will be better positioned and so I’ll be exploring that next.If you’re looking for an affordable and well-built "virtual" surround system and don’t need HDMI, the Aura A40 is a solid choice. And with ULTIMEA’s exceptional customer service you're in good hands.

Good for a budget system 👍
Despite this system being on the low budget rack, I was surprised to hear a very acceptable quality of audio from this Pro Logic 7.1 surround style system. The bass you get from that tiny subwoofer is impressive as well as the mid and treble you get from the x4 rubix cube satellite speakers and x1 mini sound-bar........to setup from the box is child's play

Misleading
It’s a shame this kind of thing is still going on especially on Amazon. The is advertised as a 7.1Ch surround sound system but it’s not. First it’s a 5 speaker system with a sub that’s 5.1Ch if it had a decoder. Classing the three drivers in the centre speaker as 3 channels is complete rubbish. Connection wise it’s either Bluetooth, a stereo auxiliary connection via 3.5mm jack or optical connection but no decoder on the optical. All it’s doing is taking a stereo signal and pushing it out over multiple speakers.Sound wise yes it’s an upgrade on what the TV comes with nowadays but it’s not a surround sound system

Very average sound quality
I love anything to do with sound so I ordered this soundbar surround sound system from the Amazon vine testing program. It's all came very well boxed and everything was packed in polystyrene which means damage would only occur if the box was absolutely destroyed, my box was actually damaged but the product was still perfect.Everything was present and correct in the packaging including all the speakers, leads and power packs. The speakers have a good weight to all of them so I had high hopes. It took me about 30 minutes to wire this all in including connecting my phone to the system. There is not a lot of 5.1 inputs on the back, only optical. For this review I only used the optical cable to try out the surround sound.I put a 5.1 movie from my television which can output 5.1 surround perfectly. I'm afraid I'm sad to say this is not true 5.1 stereo all it really does is Chuck the stereo sound around to the front and rear speakers, it does give you some good definition of left to right but I'm afraid that's about it.The item does say it has its own kind of surround sound that's virtual but I'm afraid it is definitely not true surround sound.I also found I had to really muck around with it app to get the rear speakers to sound lower on the front and I had to sit really near them to get any kind of rear sound. The app itself is very easy to use has a lot of sound options on it.Onto the actual sound. It has quite a nice bass sound when you turn it all the way up but I wouldn't say it's really gut feeling, the rest of the sound is fairly punchy but I did find I had to fiddle around quite a while before I found a setting that was any good, and even then it was just okay and I found some of the middle and treble range seemed a bit jumbled.Overall this around South system is quite good but it doesn't give proper surround sound and I don't really think it should advertise it so. Just because it has six speakers does not mean it's surround.I am being a little bit critical as I do like my sounds and this just didn't do it for me.
