Amazon’s best leather cover yet
Lovely soft leather cover which developed a beautiful natural patina over time. Absolutely love this cover. Previous versions have felt plastic, whereas this one is soft and natural to the touch. Price is very steep and feels unjustified when first taken out of the box. However once it’s fitted to Kindle it feels transformative. I don’t know how else to explain it. It’s probably not worth the price, but I’m glad I bought it.

Great Quality case
What a great case! Its just a shame the 'one-star' brigade fail to understand that the finish of the leather does mark easily and has been widely publicised as such! - Ironic that they fail to read it.My case is very heavily marked with use, but this adds to its character. If you dont like it, dont buy it it. Dont whinge and moan afterwards. Simples.

Very poor Quality and terible value for money
The only thing that I liked about this product was the description; premium leather.I was disappointed the moment I opened the packaging. The term 'Premium Leather' is visualised as a nice thick, hard-wearing material that should last for years and age gracefully. The reality is that the leather, which is layered over a hard board, is unbelievably thin; less than 1 mm I would think. Secondly, I hadn't owned the case more than a few minutes before I noticed scratches on the surface of the leather. These, I soon realised had been caused when I accidentally passed my fingernail over the surface; not the sharp edge of my fingernail, the back of it. These scratches were not areas where nap of the leather had been simply biased differently to the rest. The scratches could not be buffed out by rubbing with the finger tip. This product would be poor a £6. It's appalling at nearly 10 times that price.

Expensive...and so worth it!
So my usual M.O. case wise, is to look at the Amazon offering, decide it's too expensive and buy several cheaper and inferior cases and then eventually buy the Amazon one. This time I saw the new leather case for the Kindle Coloursoft and decided to pay the extra for something special from the start. And that's EXACTLY what it is..special! The leather is lovely and soft with a suede-like texture, the colour is beautiful, not a uniform single colour but a lovely mix of red tones that will be individual and unique to each case. I was a little concerned at how easily it marked when I first put it on the kindle but a quick rub with a damp thumb gets rid of any marks and after a few days of use it stops picking up marks entirely. Honestly if you have the expensive Coloursoft Kindle get something lovely to protect it!

Nice case but marks very easy
This is a lovely case which it should be at the premium price of nearly £60. You can smell the leather and it has a nice soft feel to it. I have knocked it down a stars because of the small v shaped scratch mark straight out the box and how easily marked it gets. I know it will get them over time and will get the patina as time goes on but for the price I paid, I would have liked it to have no marks or scratches on arrival. I would have sent it back but brought it to protect my new kindle colour soft and I am assuming the replacement will probably also have the same issues. I think it’s a nice case but the price is a little high for what you get and only time will tell if it will hold up or look a mess is a few months time. The previous leather kindle case seemed more hard wearing and was £20 cheaper than this version. Time will tell if I will find it better than that one or not. After now using it for a few days I can say that even being very careful there is a lot more marks on it but the older ones seem to fade the more you use the case. I still think it’s a very nice case but would be happier with it if it was priced £40-£50

Gorgeous
Love the leather quality and while some say it marks easily that adds personality and age to the look and colour and really makes it personalised!Premium and the price suggests this and very easy to fit and use including the auto wake feature of the case just makes opening the kindle even easier!

Leather is poorly finished
The case is a very good fit and will provide good protection. But the leather is too soft, poorly finished and seems to get scratched rapidly. Rather than developing a nice patina over time, it begins to look scruffy within hours of use. If you like a beat-up raw-ish leather look (and some do) this is for you. But if you like the kind of leather finish that ages gracefully, I don’t think you will like this.

Better than the previous gen. Lovely colour, but poor edge finishing. Overpriced.
The colour and feel of the leather is stunning, it clearly is a genuine ‘pull-up’ or ‘crazy horse’ hide, which also means scratches are to be expected even with light handling (they will get covered up with time as the case develops a patina). The fit is decent and provides a good level of protection without adding too much weight. However, the plastic used for the frame is a bit of a let down and doesn’t really warrant the retail price when considering that the leather itself consists only of a small sheet glued to 2 pieces of plastic. For this price, I would definitely expect a full leather case. The plastic edge finishing is also quite poor - it softens very quickly, to the point of getting sticky to the touch, and doesn’t give a reassuring feeling in terms of long-term durability and risk of fraying (which also afflicted the previous gen cases). Again, for this price I would expect turned leather edges.Very overpriced, overall.
