I got this for my 9 year old daughter. She got quite a bit of use out of it, however the excitement faded due to how small the board is and how "confusing" the computer is. It has a lot of functions, and that may be a turn off for younger players. She's since gone back to a larger, basic wooden board. It does offer a lot of learning potential for the money, especially if you don't have a second player readily available, but there are other smart boards out there that I think are worth the little extra dough. I would include a picture however she lost a good bit of the pieces.

Great for practice and playing others

Worst chess game. You can’t play against computer when you make a move it does not work. Can’t turn off the tutor. Push the new game it still wants to show computer tutors game. Since I can’t give 0 stars it gets 1 Star. Not worth buying. Since this was birthday gift and the return time has passed I have lost money.

Great for beginner or expert!

Wow what an amazing chess board. I have so much fun with it playing on Chess . Com and Lichess . It also like having a chess coach as well because you have a play against the computer. If you love chess this is the board for you!!!!

I would have given 5 stars, but it doesn't give extra queens for pawn promotions. I am a beginner and it is still difficult to beat the computer on the easiest settings. I really have no complaints other than that.
