This Korean cleansing balm works really well. It helps moisturize and softens my skin while removing makeup, oils, and impurities. It has a soft, milky, sherbet texture. I scoop it out with the mini spatula that is included. I massage the balm on my face. The cleansing balm texture changes at this point. The balm melts to a clear, oily appearance. Then, I wash it away with water. This product works really well as a gentle, makeup remover. I like that it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. This cleansing balm is made with rice bran extract, hyaluronic acid, eggplant fruit extract, centella asiatica extract, willow bark extract, jasmine extract, and more. So lovely, soothing, and nourishing. Probably not great for those who struggle with acne-prone skin, since I do find my normal skin leans oily after using this a few nights in a row. It has a typical unscented balm smell, somewhat similar to a jojoba or argan oil scent, not very "milky" or "rice" forward. This balm is great a few times a week for my normal skin type, and would be wonderful for those with sensitive skin, redness, or dry skin. And for heavy-duty makeup removal? Nothing beats a cleansing balm! Just follow-up with a q-tip dipped in liquid makeup remover for detailed cleanup in the waterline and lashes. There's nothing more relaxing that warming up some balm in your hands, taking the time to massage it into your skin, and then taking a washcloth soaked in hot water and slowwwlllly wiping away the makeup and impurities. It all comes away in a few swipes. This cleansing balm is great for nights when you want to go a little extra with your self-care! My only complaint is that the cute little scoopy-spoon-spatula doesn't stay in its nook inside the lid, so it's always falling into the balm and you have to fish it out. No biggie, but might be annoying for some.

I'm so used to using makeup remover wipes, but knew I needed something better. I'm very happy I gave this product a try! A little bit definitely goes a long way. It's easy to use, and I feel incredibly soft, clean, and moisturized afterward. There were no traces of makeup left on my face. This product is a great value for the price. I would definitely buy this again!

This cleansing balm from House of Dohwa is so strong when it comes to removing my makeup. I only needed a little bit to put all over my face and neck and then emulsify it. I like to use cleansing balms as part of a double cleanse but this removed literally all of my makeup and there wasn't anything left but soft skin after rinsing. I highly suggest you emulsify and rinse with warm water to prevent a film felling on your face leftover. It has a lovely rice scent to it.I find this does a great job of removing my makeup so I recommend it. :)

This has a thicker type consistency, similar to solid coconut oil, so the little spoon that this comes with is really helpful. A little bit goes a long way since it melts with body heat. It does have a bit heavier feel to it when applied, but easily comes off when you rinse your face. Makeup came off easily and quickly with the balm and my skin felt hydrated, but not oily after. I have combination skin and I didn't have any issues with breaking out with this cleansing balm.

This is a makeup removing balm that works very well, but I can't get past the smell. If you have ever tried the rice water hack for your hair, you'll recognize the smell. It does a great job removing makeup, and it's easy to rinse off, but the smell is pretty intense.

The House of Dohwa Korean Cleansing Balm with Rice Scent works well to remove the oil on my face in the morning. I tend to have a lot of oil build-up overnight. The balm is smooth and creamy. The instructions directed me to put it on my dry face. It went on smoothly and became slippery and cleansed the oil well. I then followed up with my regular cleanser. My skin felt silky soft, and I have had no adverse reactions to my sensitive skin. The only thing I'm not keen on is the rice scent. It's strange, and I would prefer unscented or a fresher scent. Besides that, this is an excellent product for removing makeup or oil to allow the cleanser to do its job.

Excellent makeup removal cleansing balm, just one big scoop can remove 90% of heavy makeup on the face. Melt right away on the face and great for sensitive skin. Feeling fresh afterward and the scent is not too fragrance.
